Very disappointed
Stayed Oct. 13-16. Were not informed that the week of our stay the resort's largest pool and beach bar would be closed due to (very loud) roof repairs. Were also not informed that our beach front room was right over the breezeway. During our four night stay we had one wedding, one wedding reception and one business cocktail party held right underneath our room. Management would not move us. The Sirata looks good from a distance, but our room was small and outdated. The bathroom was tiny. Also didn't appreciate paying $8 a night for parking and $9.95 a day for wi fi, especially when so many hotels on St. Pete Beach were nowhere near full and others offer free parking and free wi-fi. We've been to St. Pete Beach four times in the last 5 years. This was our first stay at the Sirata ... and our last. We would not recommend this hotel. There are many other hotels along Gulf Blvd. that provide much more for your money.
Sirata Hotel and Conference Center
I was very pleased with my room at the Sirata. the Desk Staff always acted me with courtesy and efficiency. At check in, if felt like old home week, as we exchanged North Carolina "connections". My beach front room provided the beautiful Gulf scenery that makes St. Pete Beach such a joy. I appreciate very much my Check In Clerk selecting that room for me. The complimentary newspaper helped set the scenario for each day. The "in room" coffee was delicious! And (as my son in law calls me) am a coffee "snob." The Kingsized Bed was very comfortable. The Guestservices person/s that cared for my room always did a wonderful job. I was very thankful for the in room fridge. I love the dorm-sized units. Though I didn't need it, the ironing board and iron are great to have (I think that I am not bothered by wrinkles any longer.) Thank you! **my review shows only THREE blocks; There were several items that I did not use, and thus could not rate. I would value the experience as a FIVE !!
Standard room in 3 star- better than expected
We had planned to upgrade our standard room to an gulf front room when we got to the hotel. It turns out there are no real gulf front rooms, most have a view of the gulf!! We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool, but we could easily see the bay. No private balconies, all one long balcony. Room was fine...clean with frig & small coffee maker. We bought our own coffee & filters!!! Bars are busy in the evenings for the drinkers. Plenty of sand, chairs & just after Labor Day less crowded on the beach. Free computer in the lobby, in your room it's $ a day. For my long thick hair, water pressure in the shower was great!!! We loved the view from the balcony, but spent lots of time right on the beach - 25 feet away There is a conference center with a huge ballroom & decor all around hotel is beautiful!! The Compass Grill was expensive & freezing, but food was good & looked appealing.
Great Stay at the Sirata Beach Resort
We just returned from a week's vacation at the Sirata Beach Resort and we were very happy with our stay there. We had a standard hotel room which was fine for just the two of us. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job in keeping the room clean. We had a very nice sized mini refrigerator in which we kept drinks and snacks and quick breakfast items. The room also had a coffee maker. The landscaping and the grounds of the resort were very well maintained and always clean. The two beach bars were lively and on the weekends had live music which we enjoyed. The pools and the hot tubs were also great and were always kept clean. We love the beach so we spent most of our time there and the beach is so beautiful there. White sand and calm, clear water. The beach cabanas were nice to have too. We ate several meals at the Compass Grill and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the grilled grouper sandwich. The staff at the restaurant and all around the resort were always friendly and helpful. We also had a very good dinner at a small restaurant in Pass-A-Grille called Sea Critters. It is on Gulf Blvd not far from the Don CeSar resort, about 10 - 15 minutes from the Sirata. Also, we found that the CVS pharmacy in the Dolphin Village shopping center, not far from the resort, had some of the best prices for souvenirs.
Loved it
I was traveling with my 9 year old son. We loved the room, they were clean and just perfect for a week long stay. The beach and the pools were lovely and perfect. We will go back.
