Great Hotel
Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel August 27 - September 1, 2009. The hotel is a new hotel located in a perfect location. You are at walking distance from great shops, restaurants, nightlife and museums. The rooms are very comfortable, the infinity beach is gorgeous. Staff is very friendly. I will stay at The Renessaince Hotel on my next visit to the island. Great hotel, beautiful island.
Great family experience
Our group included threee adults and one 12 year old everyone had an enjoyable time at this hotel. The artificial beach was a favorite with pleasant water temperatures from early morning to closing. The hotel is a short walk away from the city and in close vicinity to a number of museums. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great vacation!
We stayed at Renaissance Curacao and the resort is great! It is on the waterfront near the cruise port, and it has a casino and spa, and the service was excellent. The beach and pool are neat, and they overlook the ocean and cruise ships. The starfish on the bottom were cool! The room was nice with beautiful furniture, coffeemaker, fridge, and balcony with ocean view. The Rif Fort is right there, and there are a bunch of shops and cafes, and we ate at several restaurants and the food was delicious and lights at night were very pretty. It is close to downtown Willemstad, and we also took a day trip around the island and one day to scuba dive. We had a great visit -- we would recommend it and would go again!
New resort in the island's best location!
My husband and I just spent a wonderful vacation at this resort in Curacao. The resort is brand new and it features a number of really cool amenities that make it by far the island's best. Start with the location - on the water at the entrance to the capital city. Part of the resort includes an authentic fort full of shops and restaurants overlooking the water. The pool and beach area is something you have to see for yourself. It features a second floor beach with sand and palmtrees. In a few minutes you forget it's manmade. The view is great, the sand is -of course- clean, and the clear water lets you see lots of starfish, and other fish. All this is in the second floor above a number of trendy and upscale shops!!!. There's also an infinity pool without any sand. From the pool/beach you can see the cruise ships, since they dock real close. Curacao as an island is also special with its Dutch charm and small intimate coves rather than one long beach area. It's jumped to the top of my favorites in the Caribbean!
