Couldn't get it right
We arrived at 4:00 pm expecting to check into a king one bedroom suite with a a pull out sofa and a roll away bed as confirmed. Upon arriving I was told all they had left was a small room with two quenn beds for my family of 4. They did did find me a Jr suite suite with a queen sofa sleeper for the nite it was to small for the roll away bed and promised me a king suite with a partial ocean view for the next night. The sheets on the sofa sleeper were filthy but they came right up and changed them. The second nite we got back around 5:00 pm and all they had available was a queen suite with a broken AC. It did have a partial ocean view after you looked over the air conditioners on the roofs on the buildings next store. Opps they forgot the rollaway bed. Again they were all sold out and would move us again to our king suite the next day. On the third nite they finally got it right. The staff was very friendly and apologetic but it was disrupting having to pack and move two nites. The complemtary breakfest was nice. It is a great location for venice beach Venice beach was fun during the day but it starts to close up around 7:00 pm and by 9:00 pm is completly deserted. If I were to go again I would stay at the Loews in Santa Monica it's only 2 miles up the road The pier was fun. The Santa Monica area is open all day and nite with better places to eat and shop
Great and friendly Staff - Great location-
The Staff was so very helpful and suite was wonderful - walked to the beach and nearby coffee shops and activities
Excellent Location
Excellent location. Close to many restaurants and shops. 20 yards to the Venice beach boardwalk. A fitness person?s dream location. Running, walking, biking, swimming? This was one of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed at. Not the most fancy hotel on the boardwalk but the staff and rooms look like they put their heart into your stay. We had a standard double room that was just fine for the three of us. They have valet parking ?only? which is kind of a hassle, but because of the beach location, parking around the hotel is at a premium. If you have unlimited funds, stay someplace else, if not, stay at Best Western Marina Pacific Hotel and Suites. We?ll be back.
