Outrigger On The Lagoon Fiji

From the minute you arrive and receive your first "Bula" (hello in Fijian) you know this is a great place to stay. The staff bends over backwards to help you and always with a smile. We upgraded to a Bure which was clean and surrounded by trees and flowers for privacy. You also receive butler service with Champagne and canapes before dinner, turn down service with fresh flowers on the bed and chocolate dessert and liquer. The meal plan is the way to go. Many choices of foods, buffet style or order from the menu. The wood fired pizza is to die for. Lots of activities throughout the day for adults and children.

Nadi or Sigatoka for shopping

Ndi or Sigatoka are the better places to shop for good deals and true Fiji gifts. We went into Suva and really wished we hadn't. The people are rude and won't leave the tourists alone. Much more at ease and friendlier in the other towns for shopping.

Upper Navua River Rafting

To truly experience the inner beauty of Fiji you have to do the river rafting trip. Our guide Moses has been doing it for 11 years and made the trip very worthwhile. He tells you stories of his childhood and life in the villages. There are many many waterfalls and the trip is only class 2 or 3, easy rafting. Just be prepared for a very bumpy ride in and out of the forest. The road is used for a logging company and can be very rough at times.

We stayed in 4 different accomidations, due to the rats in the 1st bure, the seemed to like the food left by the staff, and came back for more in the night, than wee moved to closer to the beach, and woke up with roaches in our bed, so we moved up to the room's next to the entry,the staff was wonderfull, the food was excellent but over priced compared to the resteraunts down the beach,and the other hotels, the resort was beautifull.

Great family hotel. Hotel had the nicest and friendliest staff! Rooms need urgent renovation. Carpet had stains all over and had real bad smell! All other fabrics in room also smelled really bad. Food was overpriced for quality.

The Outrigger on the Lagoon is the best Resort in Fiji by a longshot. As i travel about 2 times a month to Fiji for business i have stayed at several of the highly rated resorts. But the Outrigger is my favourite. Reasons why well the staff are so friendly almost like family. The pool is great. The rooms are great I stayed in the Bure for a 4 nights. It has an amazing feel you must stay in one! I have since bought several of my business partners and they to have also been impressed

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. It was by far the best destination and the best hotel. Everything during our 9 day stay was superb. Friendly people, beautiful waters, lots of activities, very clean rooms (we stayed in the bungalows which I highly recommend). A+ all the way around.
