great value
Extremely clean rooms, staff was pleasant and helpful in giving restaurant options and directions. Patios are roomy and a great place to watch the sunset over the golf course.
Very Nice and a Bargain
Very nice place. Staff was good. Food outstanding (buffet is really, really good). Top notch amenities. Near everything. Got a great room rate -- so low we booked two rooms instead of trying to share one with the kids. Got adjoining rooms. Kids would go back!

Go to the Zoo!
Great zoo nearby. Feeding the giraffes was neat and really enjoyed ski lift over the zoo. Definately a cool view of the animals.
Great place for families!
We stayed here in July 2009 and absolutely loved it. We read a number of reviews beforehand and saw positive and negative comments, so I was a little nervous; however we thought it was terrific. It is not the Broadmoor (which I have stayed at years ago), so don't expect that level of sophistication. However, we were not looking for that, as we are a family with a young child but still wanted a nice, resort experience. They have granite countertops in the rooms, slate tile on the floor of the large bathroom, robes, etc. Our view was great from our room, looking over the mountain range, the staff is terrific and the resort is very well run and super clean. The multiple pools are great for families and they also have tennis, golf, etc. We are planning on coming back next year and possibly future years with more of our family. The restaurants were very nice (white tablecloths) but were a bit pricey for us (Breakfast buffet was $ each and the dinner buffet was $each). However, while we were there, they were allowing kids to eat free (under age 8) so for bigger families with young children, it was actually a good deal.
Great Family Stay
Although they could add a few things to make the resort more family friendly, overall, this was a great place to stay. Because of the adjoining Country Club, there were a lot of activities for all family members to enjoy. From Yoga classes, GREAT pools (there were 5 including an Olympic-sized outdoor pool, and an adult only pool), sunfish sailboats, and golf, we were pretty content to spend out afternoons on site enjoying the resort. Rooms were nicely furnished, nice views of the Cheyenne Mountains and a VERY attentive staff. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Colorado Springs, especially after seeing some of the other accomodations in the SW area!

Carlos Miguel's
Within a short walking distance from the resort is an AMAZING Mexican restaurant, Carlos Miguel's. In our 8 day visit, we ate here twice, both times, the food being absolutely wonderful. Portion sizes are large, service was great, and the drinks are well made. - Type:Area Attractions Distance: Requires transportation

Echo Canyon Rafting
About a hour sw of the City is Echo Canyon Rafting. If you have children 6 and over, this IS the company to use. Both of my kids (9 and 15) had a BLAST and said that this adventure was the highlight of the trip to Colorado. The guides are knowledgeable and empowering as you soar down the various rapids on the Arkansas River.
Weekend trip
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a beautiful hotel located in beautiful surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the mountains and golf course. You can't beat the private balcony to sit and watch the sun rise while drinking coffee brewed in room or from the gift shop. Everyone I came into contact with at this hotel was smiling and very friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and very affordable. The bar setting was nice also with TVs for watching college football or NFL games. The grounds were very well kept. This hotel is close to downtown attractions. I willl most certainly stay here agaim. I upgraded for a King room and would recommend the upgrade as well.
