Are we staying at the same hotel as everyone else?

Anonymous from san antonio, TX – Wouldn't stay again
Stayed Jun 2009, 2 days Most Recent Stay

I may be a little jaded since I travel frequently for business, but this hotel definitely did not meet my expectations. I am not sure how it even merits 4 stars. Everytime you turn around you are being charged for something. $15 a night to park your car, yet when we had friends visit they valet parked for free as long as they spent money at the hotel and had their ticket validated. Asked the front desk for a pair of earplugs (rooms not very soundproof) and they directed us to a Walgreens. Charges for using the gym, and just about everything else. It is the little things that caught my eye.....No vanity space, room very cramped for 3 people, Do not disturb signs don't stay on door (surprise knocks from housekeeping). I could go on and on. We lived in Orlando for many years and know the cost of staying ""on property"", but it is usually worth it, and it is here to an extent (front of the line pass - fabulous). I must say the service and staff are incredible.

LOEW'S ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT (ORLANDO, FL.)

Anonymous from NEW BRITAIN, CT – Wouldn't stay again
Stayed Jun 2009, 6 days

NICE HOTEL BUT CERTAINLY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET. ROOMS ARE SMALL AND NOT EQUIPPED WITH ANY CONVIENANCES SUCH AS REFRIG. (YOU CAN RENT ONE PER DAY FOR $15) PARKING WAS TERRIBLE FOR $15 P/DAY BUT IF YOU WANT VALET IT WOULD COST YOU AN ADDITIONAL $22 P/DAY ($37 P/DAY TOTAL) FOR TWO (2) NIGHTS I HAD TO PARK 1/2 MILE AWAY AT NIGHT WITH NO RETURN TRANSPORTATION OR SIDEWALKS. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT GEARED FOR FAMILIES ON A BUDGET. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED THAT THEY DID NOT CHARGE YOU EVERY TIME YOU WOULD USE THE ""TOILET"", IT WAS THAT BAD. NOTHING WAS ""COMPLIMENTARY"" NOT EVEN MORNING COFFEE. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL. IT WAS ALL MONEY WITH THEM UNFORTUNATELY.

THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY WITH KIDS

Jessica G. from E.H.T., NJ – Would stay again
Stayed Jun 2009, 2 days

This is really a tropical paradise, beattiful decor yet confortable. Thefood is excelent and the portions are big (perfect for sharing) and unexpensive... dont miss the breakfast buffet is GREAT. Thepace is super kids frendly and they have activities and games at the pool every day, the snacks in the minibar (like m&m and potato chips) are only $3 for those midnigth cravings so really is great if you are traveling with kids and not trying to spend a fortune. The water taxi is runing every 10 mins and if you want to walk is only a 8 min walk sorounded by tropical plants. There is a steam room and sauna at the healt club if you need to relax. Oh and in your room the vanity area is outside the bathroom so somebody can be takin a shower while you brush your teeth i think thts great. The bed is very confi .I almost had a heart atack when a realized i forgot to bring my pillow (i always bring my pillow) but i didnt miss it at all. I do travel ofthen and one thing i hate is that most of the hotels have extra charges for everything but that is not the case here actually i even got lots of usefull tips from the staff on how to save even more money. But the one thing i love the most is that everybody is super friendly and helpful .you will really feel like you are on vacations. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in orlando from now on :)

Very Nice!!!

Tom H. from Newport, ME – Would stay again
Stayed Apr 2009, 4 days

Great location, great staff!! We were treated better than we ever have been at Disney. Super clean rooms, great food too! Short walk to both parks and City Walk. The express pass that comes with the room is incredible. Although it was a little slow at the parks and we didn't use it much. 15 dollars a day to park and 9.95 a day for internet are the only to problems I have with the resort.

Food

Bring some easy breakfast items with you to eat in your room. You'll save a fortune. Also Romo's pizza will deliver to your room. The NBA Resaurant in City Walk was the best value of all of the one's on site. Good food too!!!

Excellent HOTEL & RESORT

H H. from JC, OH – Would stay again
Stayed Mar 2009, 4 days

We stayed 5 days & 4 nights. It was the nicest hotel. Great location for the parks- and everything 4 star. I read te reviews before booking- people complaining about prices- but I found everything inline for the service & posh treatment. We always try to stay At Loews Hotels when traveling, and not to dissappoint. And the added bonus of getting the "express" at the theme parks was awesome. Kids pool & sand area was great- all the food at the hotel also was so great, and they have characters(Shrek) come to the restuarant to meet with families- which was so special too. Will plan on doing this trip now yearly with this great experience. AND STAY AT ROYAL PACIFIC.
