Brewsters Mountain Lodge

I was just in Banff on business and I stayed at Brewster's Mountain Lodge. I booked a loft unit which was very spacious and super comfortable (2 tvs, one in the living and one in the bedroom). The staff was super helpfull and the location, you cannot get better; only one block from Banff Avenue. I would totally reccomend this hotel if you are planning to visit Banff.

This hotel is located downtown banff so all the shopping and eating places are very close. Our room did not have a/c so we had to leave a window open. This was not so nice as we heard drunk people and trucks in the ally. The bathroom and bedding was very nice. The free breakfast was not anything real special. Your basic cold cereal , bread and drinks. We paid $ which I guess is normal for a nice location. I almost forgot to comment on the very good help by a guy at the front desk!! I had goofed up and booked two hotels for that nite. Travelocity called the hotel and they were able and willing to correct my blunder for no extra charge. I wish I could remember his name. Changing could have cost us big money.

The location was nice. The room had an odor of a locker room. The staff was nice. The breakfast was cold ceral, toast or a small selection of rolls; nothing special. The halls in this hotel are a maze and a bit disconcerting.

I stayed at this hotel in Aug. 2006. The hotel is fantastic! You are half a block off main street and there is a grocery store near by. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no A/C, which is common in this area but we just left the door to the balcony open at night and it cooled off the room. Plus the parking was only $5.00 per day!
