Hotel Details

I am a non-smoker and my husband is a smoker - he was delighted that we had a motel style room as he is an amputee and appreciates the shortest distance to go outside to smoke. The bed was comfortable and the room convenient. However, once we left we were surprised by a charge for room cleaning as the head housekeeper and maintenance man alledged they could smell evidence of smoking in the room. If you are a smoker, even if you smoke outside the air conditioning units and windows all face the smoking area - the parking lot and walk way in front of the rooms. They are quick to point out that many people smoke in their rooms even with a full motel non-smoking policy. There are several hotels in the area with smoking rooms. My husband does not smoke at home why would he smoke in this hotel, it does not make sense. The rooms are are nice but not worth over $300.00 a night.

Applebees was not too far away and reasonably priced for very good food and service.
