Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort with Beach Club

Took a quick shopping trip. Hotel is convenient to shopping and the beds are awesome. Try Bourbon Steakhouse for the lobster pot pie. Room service salmon plate is delicious. Rooms are nicely appointed. Ask for upgraded room.

This hotel is great! Since we were traveling with a baby we requested a crib which was already at the room and ready to use when we arrived. We stayed on the deluxe room and therefore I can't say much about the standard type. The hotel has two excellent golf courses and three swimming pools (one of them is open 24/7. Furthermore, there is a beach club with a private beach and pool. The hotel provides shuttle for guests to the beach facility and to the Aventura Mall across the street you should definitely go to the mall for dinner since there are plenty of good and affordable options there). Some of the positive points were: bathroom: very nice bathroom with two sinks, granite countertops, large bathtub with a TV, large mirrors and a chair for women to put makeup on; 2 room: large room with large plasma TV, veranda, nice decor, safe, umbrella, living room which we used as changing area for the baby pools: swimming pool complex with jacuzzi, waterfall, water slide, lazy ride pool with tubes, complimentary baby floaters, wading pool for children and cozy bungalows and tents/beds for you to relax around the pool; amenities: multiple clay tennis courts, two golf courses, gym, jogging trail and beach club with pool and private beach; service: excellent service, employees very attentive and polite, free shuttle to mall and beach club. Negative points: Food extremely expensive anything costs at least $20 ;really, even a hot dog a dinner at thelow end Cascata Grill can easily reach $100 for two plates of pasta and two glasses of wine; Parking is expensive as well and the hotel charges $25/day if you are driving or if someone decides to visit you.

Aventura Mall

Aventura mall is just across the street and is accessible through a free hotel shuttle or a short walk from Turnberry Isle. You should definitely go there for lunch or dinner. There are excellent options which are both affordable and delicious. Grand Lux Cafe and Cheese Cake factory provide large amounts of yummy food for very little money one plate is usually good for two.

My husband and I just returned from our stay and would definitely stay again and again. The accomodations and service were excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever.

my college-age daughter and i had the pleasure of visiting the Fairmont Turnberry in mid-march for 5 days and 4 nights..this was my first foray into booking a vacation on the internet "sight unseen" and we were thrilled with our choice..there was not a single element that was not enjoyable...from the lush, beautiful landscaping as you enter the grounds, to the friendly staff, the beautiful pools, the lovely mediteranean architecture, the restaurants, the gym and, of course, the spacious hotel room with a great, great bathroom!...if i had to choose one area where the Fairmont Turnberry really excelled, it would be at the amazing level of service...we had an unforgettable time and look forward to the distinct pleasure of visiting again!

My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway. The resort was excellent, it provided all the amentities one could imagine. Two pools, one more tranquil and relaxing and the other more for the family or interacting with a water slide and waterfall. Also the resort offered shuttle access to its own exclusive beach that provided chairs and umbrellas that were set up by staff. They also offered a shuttle to nearby Aventura Mall, that offered wonderful shopping. There is a gym and spa on the grounds and an excellent restaurant in the building. You really don't have to go anywhere and for the men a world class golfing grounds. Really is perfect. I would definetly come here again and again. The only complaint I would have is that its a pain to get ice, you have to call room service to get which may take a while and the daily rate for parking is $17 but its expected. Lastly the concierge didn't know where to go party so if you are a young couple better to do that research ahead of time.
