Don't waste your money here.
My fiance and I stayed here and we will never go back. The bathroom door was broken, and when we called the front desk to fix it, they did apologize and send someone to fix it. We asked to be switched to another room to perhaps avoid the door jamming and locking one of us in during the middle of the night, but we were told "no, the entire resort is booked." We proceeded to go to bed. The comfortor was musty and moldy smelling! It was horrible! We called again, they said they would sent another comfortor, and we never got it. So we slept without covers. The next day, we locked some things in the safe, turned off the lights and turned the air conditioning on low. We also placed the "privacy" sign on the outside of the door---we didn't want the bed to be remade with that horrific comfortor! When we returned later in the afternoon, the lights were all on and the air was on high, and the cabinet that held the safe was wide open! We called to complain, heard a casual insincere "sorry" followed by a dial tone. Rude! The day after that, I was going to eat some grapes I had placed inside the fridge, but when I opened the fridge, the ziploc was open and half the grapes were eaten!!! I now noticed my credit card statement has a $* charge on it from the hotel even though I paid for it already through travelocity.com. The least they can do is NOT charge me extra, even if it is a stupid resort fee. The manager and the employees don't care. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Trip to Scottsdale 2009
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale was a wonderful resort. The staff is great and very accomidating. The grounds are stunning and the pool(s) yes two large pool areas are set up with the best lay out I have ever seen. We enjoyed the pools very much as there is a section with all pool activities and a sand beach in the water at one end as well as a large hot tub. The is another entire pool area for adults only with water falls and water misters which is just lovely. The hotel is in a great location from the highways and the Old Town Scottsdale area as well as stores and many resturants to choose from close by. We never actually at at any resturants in the Hotel so I can not comment on those. I would recommend you stay here if you are going to Scottsdale, AZ.
very nice
The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The pool is awesome. It was easy to spend the entire day at the pool without ever hearing the kids say they were bored. The rooms were quite small and the placement of the coffemaker was so akward it was almost impossible to use it. My children enjoyed the kids program the one day they were there. The food was very expensive.
Excellent hotel!
I will definitelly be back. The ameneties were much more than I expected. Loved the variety of pools. The resort was all inclusive. There was no need to leave. The gym could have been a little bigger, and could have had a better variety of machines.
Enjoyed every moment, service was top notch and the landscape was absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint I would have was there was some maintenance going on outside our room and I feel the guests should be informed of that prior to the work.
