Rooms a little cramped. I felt like we stayed in a closet of a room. No ice on any floor, but call the front desk and someone will bring it up...even at 3:30 am. Staff very friendly. Walk to anywhere in downtown area. Great food all around. Breakfast buffet, worth getting up for.

Teenage son decided to go with us - we arrived only to find out the hotel has no double\double rooms. They wanted $25 for a rollaway. The rooms are not big enough for two beds. Lobby and hallways smelled old and musty. No coffee, no ice - you had to call room service for anything unless you wanted to pay $3.25 for a soft drink out of mini bar. I don't see how on earth they could call this a 4-star hotel. Bed had one skimpy blanket. No additional blankets anywhere to be found. Will never go again.

I had an outstanding experience staying at the Canterbury Hotel for 5 nights while attending a meeting at the Convention Center. All of the staff were excellent, housekeeping, maintenance, dining, and front desk. The hotel was very well maintained, with a nicely appointed bed room and a very comfortable bed. It was one of the quietest, if not the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at!!! This greatly contributed to my ability to get a good nights rest, each night of my stay. The dining area with only 11 tables was quite intimate, yet friendly, with excellent foot, at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone having business in Indianapolis, and would welcome the opportuntiy to stay there again.

The lobby is very nice as are the rooms - the 4-poster bed is a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The Canterbury is perfectly located downtown. We ate next door at St. Elmo's and then walked to Conseco from there for a concert. The only negative thing was that the pillows were much too soft for our taste.

Lovely hotel, rooms decorated very tastefully. Convenient to everything downtown. I would have felt safer if the room had an additional security latch on the room. Bathroom well appointed, but ladies will need a magnifier for make up.
