Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos is the northern Caribbean's pre-eminent private island, wrapped in sweeps of sand and peaceful seas. It combines nature - 1000 unspoiled acres, including a mile-long powdered beach - with understated style and cosseting service.

The hotel's allure of lean simplicity is the work of interior designer Keith Hobbs of London. He has taken the elements of traditional colonial decor, such as four poster beds, and adorned them with the lavish use of white fabrics. Parrot Cay has 3.2 miles of porcelain white sands and private beaches with unbelievably clear waters.

The Garden View and Ocean Facing Rooms are hotel-style rooms on slightly raised ground (a 2-5 minute walk to the sand). Guest room amenities include: 4-poster beds with mosquito screens, a private veranda, bath and shower, a/c, ceiling fan, direct dial telephones, a radio/CD player, modem port, hair dryer, in-room safe, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. Fax machines and televisions are available upon request.

The resort includes a reception building (including registration, Terrace Bar, Terrace Restaurant, Boutique and Library), fully equipped air conditioned gym, two floodlit tennis courts, Lotus Poolside Bar, Lotus Bar and Lotus Restaurant (open for lunch and dinner) and the Shambhala Spa. Some guests find their own stretch of beach; others prefer to relax around the resort's main swimming pool - cobalt, melting into the bright horizon.
