The AAA three-diamond Outrigger Kanaloa is located on an outcropping of lava rock overlooking Keauhou Bay, approximately 15 miles from Keahole-Kona International Airport. The property adjoins Kona Country Club's 36 holes of championship golf and is seven miles south of Kailua-Kona town and only two miles from the beach. Some key attractions are Volcano National Park (96 miles), City of Refuge (20 miles), Black Sand Beach (60 miles), Green Sand Beach (48 miles) and various coffee and Macadamia nut farms are located in the area. A convenience store is within walking distance. Speedi Shuttle is approximately $35 and taxi is $40 from/to airport.

Guests can enjoy the bar/lounge, restaurant, barbecue and picnic areas, lighted tennis courts, hot tub, and indoor recreation and lounge area with three swimming pools (one for adults only).
