Room smelled of smoke

By far one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve ever seen and my profession for 8 years required a ton of long travel last minute hotel stays at some real questionable areas. The room reeked of smoke so bad we had to use a air sanitizer and it didn’t help much. We had to wipe down the room ourselves and the tub was absolutely gross. Had we not been there to move my son into college and didn’t have much wiggle too. We would have found another place.

I was concerned at the overpowering smell in the reception area. Then I noticed a sign saying that there pool (which is beautifully picture online) has been closed since Covid started in 2020 and was never reopened. I did go to the room, and needed a good shove with my shoulder to get the door to open. The room smelled as bad as the rest of the hotel. We decided to to touch anything and leave. When I returned the keys and said I wasn't Staying the clerk shrugged his shoulder, said "ok" and turned away as if he wasn't surprised.

I had to knock on the plexiglas to get some ont to come to the counter to check us in. Told us where our room was. Big signs stating no smoking, yet the moment you walk in, the whole area smells like rank stale smoke. The hallway of our floor, the floors were disgusting, the hallways smelled like stale smoke also, the beds were just ok. But I guess you get what you pay for.

It was dirty, late arrival limited our options , we woke up 4 hours later , without showering because bathroom was dirty we get stopped in the hallway on way to check out by a worker demanding a tip! Major upgrade needed in personnel as well as structure, was referred to manager .who was expected later in the day .

lobby, hallway, elevator reeked. rubbish left in the room drawers by previous guests. everything felt like it had a film on it. just overall dirty hotel. only positive thing was the room was a good size. still, would not recommend.

The place was dirty, not enough towels or lien supplied, pool and jacuzzi area were filthy. When want to ask for liens to make up pull out bed was given 2 top sheets and that was all needed to ask for pillows also which manager stated he didn’t know where they were kept. When asked for towels because there was only 2 in the room for 3 people and none for the pool. Went to the store and bought a blanket and towels to use! Was told I needed to give them my credit due to the room being nonsmoking in cause we smoked in it, it’s like I don’t smoke that’s why I got a no smoking room. Yet hallway smelled like marijuana every time you walked down it! Do not recommend to anyone!
