If you’re looking to save money, and you have a car, this is the place for you. Nice breakfast. No restaurants or attractions are near; you are an easy 20-minute drive to beautiful Alesund. The room is stark… but clean and roomy. We got a nice night’s sleep on a comfortable bed.

Preislich für norwegische Verhältnisse sehr günstig, spartanisch eingerichtet, aber wer keinen Fernseher auf dem Zimmer braucht, vermisst nichts. Insgesamt war es recht ruhig. Es sind viele Gäste auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht dort. Die Gästeschaft setzt sich aus allen Altersklassen zusammen, von jungen Familien bis zu Rentnern. Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr umfangreich im Angebot, aber das Nötigste an Brot, Brötchen, Wurst, Käse, Gemüse, Müsli und so weiter ist vorhanden. Jedes Stockwerk ist mit einer Küche ausgestattet, in der man mitgebrachte Nahrungsmittel zubereiten kann. Einen Kühlschrank gibt es dort auch. Die Belegschaft besteht überwiegend, zumindest während meines Aufenthalts, aus Schülern bzw. Schulabgängern, die Ferienjobs machen. Alle sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, ein großer Pluspunkt. So habe ich mich in den zehn Tagen sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein weiterer Vorteil der Unterkunft ist die Lage. Man kann von hier aus sehr gut zu Touren aufbrechen und kann auf der einen Seite Richtung Ålesund fahren und zur anderen Seite hin beispielsweise in Richtung Geiranger oder Trollstigen aufbrechen. Bei anderen Unterkünften direkt in Ålesund müsste man jedes mal 20 km extra und durch die Stadt fahren. Für mich ist die Lage vom Borg Sommerhotell ideal gewesen. Daumen hoch für diese Unterkunft!
