We received an email prior to arrival, telling us where to park and what to do when we go there. When we arrived, it was clear that the parking was NOT available, and there was no answer at the intercom. We called the number provided and were told the parking lot wasn't open but to park on the street. We didn't meet anyone when we checked in (which was OK), and the back door to the property was left unlocked at all times. We just walked into the building and into our room. Would have felt more secure if the building door had locked. Otherwise, our stay was fine - about what you'd expect for an inexpensive place. Room was surprisingly spacious, but some of the carpeting was worn, shower needs an update, that sort of thing. The location was great - right close to the center and walkable to restaurants, the castle and gardens, Barter Books, etc. Since free parking was one of the main reasons I picked this hotel, I was very disappointed by the parking situation.
