"Our 3rd time at The Blue Water and it never disappoints. Kushuni and Chamal deserve special mentions as they go above and beyond the service expected. We will be back as soon as we can. Thanks to The Blue Water Hotel again for making our visit to Sri Lanka an absolute pleasure . "
"Excellent location with 2 large swimming pool overlooking the beach. Plenty of beach chairs and the pool staff made sure that we stay comfortably in the shade enjoying the sea view. We stayed on all inclusive package and lots of choices of tasty food were available throughout the day. Excellent customer services by Shanduni, Varuni from the restaurant, Prasanna -cleaning staff, Raju from the bar. We will highly recommend this resort and definitely stay again on our next visit to Sri Lanka. "
"From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff made this a wonderful place to stay. Not once did we feel we were being taken advantage of. We were impressed with all the facilities and the lovely ambience and decor of the hotel. The pool and gardens were beautifully maintained and all the added benefits such as the gym, spa and Comfortable sun loungers scattered around the palm fringed gardens were really appreciated. We were not full board but dined in the FB restaurant and we’re really surprised that the quality of the food offered. The à la cart menu was also extensive and tasty and not expensive. There was also plenty of choice at breakfast time. I would highly recommend this please to anybody looking for a good comfortable hotel at an affordable price."

"Good and bad. It’s a beautiful property with beautiful pools. But there’s nothing to do in or around. Food and drink is grossly overpriced, and I speak as someone who had just spent 5 days at the best hotel in Colombo, which was cheap in comparison.
Service which is meant to be friendly becomes intrusive and formulaic. Expect several calls a day to the room. This is what I come on holiday to get away from. For instance, order room service and 5 minutes later a call to see how it is - which means interrupting your meal and answering the phone. In the end I ignored all calls. Unfortunately I could not find a way to silence the room phone, or I would have done. This was exacerbated by the fact that I was added to the WhatsApp of a manager without warning on the day before arrival, and then sent numerous messages trying to upsell services.
There are some security issues. The pool villas cannot be locked. Yes the garden is surrounded by a wall, but it would only take a ladder. I did not like the idea of sleeping in an unlocked room. It would not be an issue but for the fact that a public road bisects the resort by the villas and therefore practically anyone can gain access, as is evidenced by the touts that congregate daily.
