Outside of hotel was run down and not maintained well. Room looked great, it was completely remodeled except for bathroom. Refrigrator was very od and broken. The tub was covered in old cracked tile. Dining area was dirty and there were cobwebs and bugs all in window sills.

Dog stay

Staircases falling down. Room very dirty. Linens were clean but rest of room in need of repair and cleaning. Fridge had mold in it. It's hard to find hotels with pets but won't stay here again.

old. run down,

got room didn't have features advertised, no in room movies not same color as picture, run down, could see day light from under the door when closed.

An old dirty room with no hot water is not for me

Cons: Noisy, no hot water
This is an older hotel which had the next to lowest price for a three stars user rating. Usually I can get away with cheap prices if the user ratings are three or above. Unfortunately the rooms were old which was noticeable from the broken tile. Do not walk on the bathroom floors with bare feet or you may get cut. We found dead flies on the A/C heater unit - not much more to say about that. After checking in we went to eat at the Big Texan and got back to the room around midnight. We were woken up at 8 AM by what sounded like a loud constant dispensing ice machine right outside our room. When we looked outside there was a bulldozer knocking down the rundown restaurant next door. See the attached pic, you cant make this stuff up - lol. The shower ran out of hot water 2 minutes in and I had to shower off in cold water - great fun. I called the front desk, which was polite and sent the janitor to our room. The janitor could not speak English but he did show off the boiler room. It had four 50 gallon hot water heaters for the entire building of about 40 rooms. This explains why there's no hot water. If you are still considering this place know the TVs are the old fashioned CRT kind and about half the cable channels had the old noisy look I hadn't seen since last century. WiFi didn't connect but I didn't spend more than a minute troubleshooting it. With the time we wasted on the shower trouble, we got down to the lobby at 9:30 to discover the free breakfast ends at 9:30 and all we could get was coffee and packet creamer. What a trip. Buyer beware.

never again!

i will never stay here again. the room was not what i booked, there was no coffee maker, microwave, or fridge. when i asked about this, i was told it wasnt their fault someone stole it, and "no" i couldn't have a coffee maker because someone stole it. the beds and pillows were a disgrace to say the least. i was there for four days and three nights and was miserable the whole time. as for the breakfast, well it was there. they also had a microwave to warm it up in because apparently it was put out cold.

Nice room

Took refuge here during a bad thunderstorm, the room was clean and comfortable, added bonus, they have an arrangement with the Big Texas Steak House, they sent a limo for us, so we were able to go out to dinner without worrying about the bad weather, very quick on the pickup and just a short wait for the return ride. The breakfast in the morning was quite nice, cereals, bagels, toast, biscuits and gravy, even a make it yourself waffle station. It was quite popular and we had to wait a bit for a table.

Liked this hotel

I pick hotels by looking onine for decent reviews at the cheapest price. Sometimes this tactic fails, but this time it worked. The outside of this hotel was in dire need of paint, but the rest was nice, especially for the cheap price compared to others in the area. The room and bathroom were completely clean and didn't smell bad. Towels weren't paper thin, and there were more than two. The bed was thumbs-up. (Actually, way more comfortable than our hotel room in CO where we paid twice as much.) Everything worked correctly, including the hot water. Also, the shower head was high enough that my husband didn't have to bend over to take a shower. Breakfast was also great: first hotel I've been to at this price that includes hot eggs and sausage (along with the usual bagels, waffles, yogurt, etc.) in their free breakfast. Coffee was strong and good. There were lots of sturdy tables and chairs so there was plenty of room for guests in the morning. The girl at the front desk was taciturn, but I didn't have to wait at check-in or check-out because she was quick and did her job correctly. There was no microwave or fridge in the room, but we were only staying one night in Amarillo, so we didn't miss them. We will definitely stay in this hotel again on our way to CO. This hotel is on the industrial side of town, but it's surrounded by many other hotels, so I felt safe.

Cheap and Comfortable

The Good: Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly and courteous. Good value for the money. The Bad: Can't think of anything.
