Wonderful historic hotel
Wonderful hotel. It is supported by students at a local hospitality college but honestly we would not have noticed. The rooms were clean and large, and the building is historic; even the key was a real key. The breakfast was quite good. Everyone was so nice. Minor complaints: the towels could be better as could the toilet paper! The hotel is also not readily accessible by public transportation. However, if you have a car, it is terrific.

- We were disappointed that there wasn't help to carry our luggage. We were a group of 4 women, some of us 70+. - The facilities were clean and neat. - The meals were tasty but: - service was lacking i.e. bringing out water, asking if we needed anything else, and keeping the breakfast buffet in order and filled. We needed to 'work hard' at getting someone's attention to have another coffee.

Excellent!
The hotel building and grounds are very impressive. We were glad of an enclosed parking garage. The students were well supervised and did fine work (the hotel is staffed by the students of an adjacent college and their teachers). The dinner was also very good.

Fantastic concept
Not being a Dutch speaker, I hadn't appreciated that Leerhotel meant learning hotel and that the hotel was run in term time by the MBO HotelSchool students who are studying how to run all aspects of the Hotel. A fabulous concept and provided a great customer experience. In addition to the unique building itself being a converted Monastery. From the checkin, the greeting and explaining the hotel layout, the background to the hotel the service and dining was first class. The dinner was amazing value for money and far better than most hotels/restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will hopefully return for another visit to Amersfoort.

Leerhotel is goede kwalificatie - passie zeker!
Leuk om te zien hoe leerlingen graag het vak willen leren! Complimenten voor het unieke concept. Het boet wel iets in op de beleving als klant. Koffie maken is een leerdoel verwacht ik waardoor de koffie bij het ontbijt onvoldoende was. Veel gepraat en coaching tussen de gasten en op de gangen wat het onrustig maakt. Daarmee is de prijs / kwaliteitsverhouding wel een beetje scheef...

Mooie kamer in een sfeervol authentiek gebouw. Jeugdig vriendelijk personeel is overal aanwezig en in opleiding, dat heeft zijn charme. Ontbijt en diner in restaurant zijn prima, kortom een compleet plaatje voor een schappelijke prijs.
