Our stay was wonderful! Helena was extremely warm and welcoming. So fun to stay in an actual home in the canal district. With the small fridge, hot plate and dishes provided and a market around the corner, we made our own breakfast and sat at the window seat, ate, watched tourists and residents walk by and felt completely at home. In the evening, we would just stroll down the streets along the canals and just soak in the hundreds of years of culture and life just radiating everywhere. Helena, has a box of business cards of local restaurants and businesses she recommends. We ate a late meal at the restaurant just two doors down from 969. We told them Helena mentioned them and so they were extremely welcoming. We had a lovely conversation with the waiter and cook. The cook remembered us and as we would walk by during our stay, he would wave and say "hello my friends!"
