I chose this location because of its walking distance to the Honda Center, and I was not disappointed. The staff was very nice and helpful! I stayed in a 2 Queen Bed Studio Suite (2 travelers). Breakfast was included, which was absolutely fantastic! Eggs, potatoes, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, juices, tea, hot coffee, pastries, bagels, etc. The staff during breakfast time were so friendly! The breakfast filled me up so much that I didn’t even need lunch. Beds were comfortable. Loved the shower. The air conditioner worked well. Mini fridge and microwave was useful. I needed to order something off Amazon and it was delivered to the front desk. They called my room when it was ready which was cool. The area is nice and I felt safe. I’m usually a very cheap person but if I had to come back to this area again, I’d pay more for this same hotel over another less expensive one.

Didn't understand the gates to get into the facility... signage for those staying there weren't apparent as it looked like we had to pay $40 for parking (we didn't!!) Also, was tough to get out when we were leaving / checking out... we'd left the keys in the room and come to find out we needed them to get out... On the positive - the room as spacious / clean / easily accessible / loved the early check in via text the day before...

I was told “nigg** you are too fu**ing loud” then one day later a note was posted at my door that said “you dumb Mexicans are too fu**ing loud” and I had to quickly leave the Ayres Anaheim hotel for my safety. 15 minutes after walking into the hotel the phone rang and the caller said “nigg** you are too fu**ing loud”, I immediately went to the front desk and was reassured there was hotel security (not true) and that it was likely an outside line. The following day as I was leaving with my two little girls for dinner, someone had taped a note that said “you dumb Mexicans are too f**ing loud”. I consider myself extremely lucky that nobody was outside my door but was scared, locked the door and called the front desk for security to come quickly. I was told there was no security and the hotel manager, a woman, would come to my room. She came and stood outside the door as my little girls packed our bags quickly and we left, close to 9pm. As a mom traveling with two little kids, safety in selecting a hotel was my number one priority. As you know racists, like to instill fear and silence and this company supports that. I emailed the company, general manager, and president and TWO days later got a phone call from a manager and an email. The response was that they would reimburse my emergency room as they did not feel liable. I know now Ayres hotel does not believe that racism would negatively affect a vacation and regret subjecting my children to this.
