Didn’t know the pool was closed for maintenance until we checked in. The hotel had just done a renovation and the heat wasn’t set up properly. In the middle of the night the heater started making super loud noises and when I called the front desk they seemed annoyed and didn’t really help.

This was the worst hotel experience ever. It was in the midst of some kind of renovation at the peak visitor season. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, there was no breakfast or even coffee in the lobby. The black out shade rolled down but wouldn’t roll up so two days in a dark room. I chose this hotel because it had a basic gym and I’m trying to rehabilitate from a knee surgery. It didn’t even have a basic clock in the room or a “no disturb “ sign to hang on the door knob. I asked the manager about compensation? He responded that they couldn’t compensate me but they could give me member reward points. Why would I ever want reward points to go back there?

It was not posted as under construction. That would certainly have affected our decision to stay there. The room had filthy carpets with grease stains on it . There wasn’t any lights or lamp in the room aside from one wall mounted on one side of the bed. When we entered had to feel along the wall to find the bedside lamp.,it was so dark in there. The tv system didnt work in either of the two rooms that we reserved. In one room you had to get up off the toilet and walk across the room to get the toilet paper on a top shelf as there was no toilet paper holder. There was a mattress and chairs in the stairwell so if there was a fire, good luck using the hall stairs as an escape route! To get breakfast we had to drive to a hotel down the road! There were no vending machines in the hotel to even grab a snack. The one and only plus i could give was the outstanding service the lady at the counter with the flower in her hair gave us. She could not have been more helpful under very unfavorable circumstances! She even helped us load our luggage in our car in the pouring rain! God love her! For all of this we got to pay over 300$ plus for two rooms for two nights! We will be staying elsewhere when we come to Anchorage next.

Nice quiet hotel. That’s a big plus for me. Clean, comfy furniture, plenty of nice lighting. The bathroom has lots of room to put makeup and toiletries while you’re dressing. A very pleasant experience all around.

Breakfast was good but logistics were poorly planned. Using frozen breakfast burritos and Jimmy Dean sandwiches were good but too many people for one small microwave. Either get more microwaves or heat them up before bringing them out.
