Off the Grid, but nothing lacking
We loved our stay. Beth is such a great host! We rented the cabin because we were doing some bird hunting just across the state line for the weekend. It was a little warm for any decent hunting, but fortunately Beth also recommended some other things to do in the area and we took her recommendation on a hike to Dunn falls. It was great. We loved that there was no cell service or WiFi because it allowed us to really disconnect for the weekend. Even though it was off the grid, the propane lights, stove and fridge and generator took care of all our needs. We would definitely stay again.

Off-grid cabin to take a break
If you are looking for a place to get away and explore the beautiful scenery around Grafton Notch, this is the place for you. While off-grid, it still has all the comforts you need as a home base to go hiking and see some amazing waterfalls or visit some of the beautiful nearby lakes. Highly recommended for a real break from modern life.

Exactly what we wanted
We were looking for a quiet off grid place to hang out and ride our atv’s. This place was exactly that with the added benefit of an indoor shower and on demand short term electricity if needed. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay. The fire pit is amazing with the rushing creek next to it - the perfect spot for the dog to play. Although the trails were closed and the roads were rough we found the adventures we came for. Beth and John are awesome! The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need and more. Added little touches were very much appreciated. We can’t wait to come back in the winter with the sleds.

Excellent Family Getaway
This cabin is beautiful, quiet, and nestled within the surrounding mountains. Our family of 3 absolutely enjoyed the peace and quiet this cabin offered. Beth was great and showed us around the cabin when we arrived. There is plenty of room for a small family. The porch makes a great addition for enjoying the mornings and evenings at the cabin. Beth also recommended a local beach to go swimming. The beach was amazing! I would recommend this cabin to anybody looking to unwind and get away from the stresses of everyday life.

Get away completely
Beautiful land, remote location, total peace and quiet...and I mean quiet. Stunning stars at night. Lots of exciting nearby hiking and swimmable ponds and lakes ringed with pretty mountains. Great escape. (Novices might not totally understand what off-the-grid means.)

We had a great time
We enjoyed the area. Hiking was great as was the kayaking. Cabin was a bit uncomfortable but we enjoyed ourselves. Lots of ticks and a 🐻 but that's part of the experience. Make sure you understand that there is no electricity when the generator isn't on. Water was so hot we burned ourselves a few times. Our friend had to sleep on the floor. Best if a family rents this place. Couldn't contact Owner as no phone service either.
