The location is great & the cabins are newly updated but we had an AWFUL experience while staying. Check in went well, the cabins were easy to find, we went to bed & got up the next morning to get ready for our day. My boyfriend was up first and had already gotten in the shower, I got up a little after him & joined him in the shower. I had just rinsed shampoo out of my hair as he went to get out, as he opened the door it completely shattered & it rained glass all over us. Still, we were not upset, just thankful to be okay! It took the owners about 15 minutes to come down & check it out. Long story short, me & my boyfriend waited to be placed in another cabin for THREE HOURS which little shards of glass all over us, they had two open cabins which we could have used, but they accommodate more guests than we had, so I guess that’s why it wasn’t offered. We called management at 9:28 and didn’t get into a new place until 12:30, we had to unpack & shower and get ready for our day. So it was basically 2 o clock by the time we were able to leave and start our day. Once management came into the room with the broken shower we couldn’t go back in, for obvious reasons, so the workers had to pack our belongings, & that’s fine and all, but they had NO GLOVES to put on. They put our toothbrushes into bags that had glass shards in them & all. Once we got to the new cabin, there were no paper towels or sponges to be found. It had one hand towel & the grill was disgusting. AVOID RENTING HERE.

I have been waiting for your review to see if you would be honest. Now I know. The shower door was 5/8 inches thick Tempered Safety glass made by a brand name manufacturer of Safety Shower enclosures. It was about 4 mos. old and I am sorry, but there Is absolutely no way it shattered as your boyfriend claimed when he “only slightly pushed it open”? There are two rubber safety stoppers on the bars it slides on to keep it from hitting the tile wall on the side. I am the owner of the property and it took me about 15 minutes to get to the cabin and my head of maintenance was already there. When we inspected the situation, we noted that there were vertical scratches about 8 inches long on the tile wall which is 4 inches behind the rubber stoppers and the stoppers themselves were ripped nearly in half. These scratches (photos available) suggest the door was intact when it hit the wall. The only way that door would have pushed its way through the 2 inch rubber stoppers and hit the wall is if it was SLAMMED open with great force. The shower is only 32 inches x 48 inches. There should never have been two large adults in the shower together, in the first place. As a former Emergency Dept. RN I couldn’t help but wonder how your boyfriend got a crush injury with a cut on the tip of his finger. It made me wonder if he didn’t try to stop the door from hitting the wall after one of you slammed it open. When I asked if you were both in the shower together, you denied it. Now you say you “had just rinsed your hair when he went to get out.” I suspect your linebacker sized boyfriend may have slipped on your shampoo. I offered to let you go to the emergency room, you both refused. We were full that night and had to wait for a guest in our other cabin to checkout so we could clean it and let you have it. You didn’t think we were “Terrible” when you asked if you could extend your stay another night in the cabin, we moved you too. I guess we became terrible when I only offered you a courtesy discount on your extra day as opposed to the free night you requested. You should both be thankful I am not suing you for the $1000 plus door replacement. Just the photos of the sign on the wall that reads "For your own safety, One Person at a Time Please" and your comment in this review is enough according to our attorney.

They forgot to leave linens for the sofa bed even though we registered three guests. They left a phone number for us to call if we needed anything, but there was no cell phone service in that area and no one home where they said we could contact them.
