Not the best experience
Well, the first thing we had to do was take some plastic wrap and fill in around the air conditioner unit in the window so the bugs could not get in. You have to “lock” the back sliding glass door with a pole as there is no locking mechanism otherwise. You can not open the back windows to let air in because there are no screens. The attic steps leading to the upstairs bedroom are very unsafe. There is not anything to hold onto when you are descending them until you get about halfway down. We did not feel safe going up and down so we just slept downstairs. Would not book this place again or recommend to anyone we know.

Neat space perfect for visiting Mt. Rainer
We loved this cabin. The pictures are accurate. It really is on the creek where you can dip your feet after a long hike. There was a burn ban in effect while we were there, but it would be a perfect space for sitting by the campfire roasting marshmallows or enjoying some relaxing beverages. The place was clean, neat, and nicely decorated with clear directions and communication from the host. He let us know in advance there was no wi-fi. It was clear effort has been made to make you feel comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, including climbing the ladder into the sleeping loft. The bed was comfortable and with the window open, the breeze was cool. There is a window-unit AC, but we didn’t need it. The only downside was having to walk outside to get to the bathroom, but it is a short, connected distance and the bathroom is spacious with a washer/dryer. It’s a great place to stay in a community neighborhood close to Mt Rainer.

The location was nice with the creek and lake nearby. I have a few complaints though. First, communication is poor. I emailed asking how to get in the day before. No email back. I found the code online the day of but I would think I should've gotten an email from the owner stating that the info would be online. Then when I got there, there was no internet as stated online. I had planned to do some work but couldn't and I couldn't call the owner because there is no cell service. Other isses, the wall outlet didn't work. The BBQ hasn't been cleaned in what looks like years and no brush provided to clean it. The futon is near impossible to get folded back up. The separate bathroom is a bit creepy going out at night. Despite these things the stay was overall ok but then I recieved an additional bill for cleaning due to dog hair as they stated on the furniture and the rug. My dog was not on the furniture at all. I didn't realize I would be charged an extra $100 for vacuuming the throw rug. I followed the check out instructions exactly and left everthing else clean. I would've vacuumed if it was stated in the check out directions! I don't understand how that would call for an additional $100 charge when it would at the most take an additonal 10 minutes!! Definately need to be more clear about what is expected and update your ammenties online. It is false advertising. You also don't have an ice maker as stated.

Small, 1-bedroom cabin
This is our first time writing a less than stellar review for a rental. We booked this cabin for part of our multi-week hiking trip to Washington. We picked this cabin specifically for the laundry and WiFi offered. Here are some of our issues with the listing: Prior to arrival, we confirmed with the host that the rental had a washer/dryer and that detergent would be available. When we arrived, only a single pod was left for us and the host told us to use the machines as efficiently as possible despite our communication to the host of our laundry needs after over a week of hiking. Upon arriving we messaged the host for the WiFi information, and he responded there was no WiFi. WiFi was listed as an amenity at the time of our booking and there was very limited cellular coverage in the area. Further, the listing was for a two bedroom; however, this is a one bedroom with a futon in the living room. In addition, the bedroom is only accessible by a fairly steep ladder with a 250lb weight limit sticker on it. This may make the bedroom inaccessible for some folks, and it is not clear in the listing. The only security on sliding glass door on the back of the cabin is a bar holding the door shut, which is not a substitute for an actual lock. The cabin is an ok place to stay and is decently close to some National Park trails but at the time of our booking, the listing had several misrepresentations that were not ok.

Amazingly Cozy Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay here. The owners are so friendly, the river behind the house is so beautiful and calming, the house has all of the amenities, and the neighborhood has a little lake and playground. We absolutely loved everything about the cabin. Literally 5 minutes to Mt Rainier National Park so we were able to go there one day. We loved sitting at the river and listening to the spring waters roaring. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for the most amazing place.
