Location next to the national park only thing didn’t like was the lack of water pressure due to their well system

This is the worst maintained hotel I have ever seen. My friend and I went on a long endurance run/hike on wonderland trail and had a reservation at Gateway Inn the day we finished. They got us into a room right away. However, the room was in poor condition. Cabinets doors falling off, dirty dishes, dirty floors. In addition, they had a flyer in the room explaining that there was no water available for the hotel. The sink worked for a few minutes and then there was no water available.. I guess their well was dry? that meant my friend and I could not even take showers after our run. We took a short nap on the uncomfortable beds and then left mid afternoon without staying a night. We drove to Seattle and stayed the night at red lion near the airport. I am just taking the hit for the non-refundable stay. No sense arguing with them when I was so tired. Pretty fraudulent to book rooms knowing that there’s no water available…. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE.

Nice little separate cabins. Not fancy, but clean, private and spacious. Staff was friendly and you can’t get any closer to the park entrance!

The location is excellent-right outside the Mt Rainier southwest entrance. No electrical outlets in the bathroom. Up steep steps to get to the suite. Electrical cords under rugs. Wi-fi didn't work the first night. We were in a junior suite so maybe the other options were better.

The cabin we stayed in was newly updated. The location was very convenient for entrance into Mount Rainier. We did not have any wi-fi or tv for four days. I asked several times and I was told it was the heat. The room was not clean. There was food crumbs all over, trash under the bed and on the windowsill. The dispensers in the shower were empty and we had no soap and very little toilet paper. Had to wait till the 9 am the next morning to get supplies and to check in instead of being able to go to the park early.

What a disaster. The room was supposed to have two queens, but one of them was an air mattress. When I first arrived and went to the bathroom, someone started walking INTO MY ROOM through a door in the bathroom. I exclaimed loudly, and they slammed the door back shut. Finally, I chose to stay here over another place due to TVs with DirecTV in each room. But alas, DirecTV was down! It didn't work, and the WiFi wasn't good enough to stream anything either. The hostess just shrugged and said "yeah, it's been down for a while." They didn't offer any compensation or anything at all. Just made it clear I was out of luck. Terrible place, terrible service, no privacy at all. Do. Not. Stay. Here.
