Get what you paid for.

To start with , it in a terrible area. Our window faced a designerating wall. The hotel is surrounded by graffiti laden walls. The early morning we checked in, given a room, where the airconditioning did not work. The following day after, I complained, we were moved to a different room after we returned from the afternoon exercusion, that had functioning air conditioning and a TV. Both rooms did not have a working refrigerator. Never able to connect to the free Wifi. Our new room did not have a fully functioning shower. Only in extremely hot water. The cooler water only dribbled. Room was very small, had to place our bags in certain way, to be able to walk around the bed to go to the bathroom. The bathroom was the only room that looked like the picture. Recently remodeled.

Served it's purpose .

Pros: Air conditioning worked well. Free breakfast was nice, just wished it wasn't the same each morning.
Cons: Internet connection in the rooms be better.
Location: Area was a bit sketchy looking. Day time was OK, but I would not recommend anyone walking around that area at night.
No frills but it served it's purpose ... we were mostly out and about seeing the sights so it was basically a place to crash for the night. Unfortunately the internet did not work the first 3 days we were there and when it finally came up, signal in the room was not that great. Had to go down to the lobby for strong signal.

Great owner!

Pros: Free breakfast
The owner was always there and was very knowledgeable about Athens. He was so very nice and help us plan what to do. The hotel is very nice and clean and is only a couple metro stops from Acropoli. Yes, it is not the best neighborhood but its not all that bad either.

Very good value for your money

This budget hotel it's a very good value for the money you pay. Maybe this is the best hotel for this price that we have had any place in Europe. It's kept very clean, the included breakfast is good, the staff is corteous, and it's located from a walking distance of the Metro. At night the zone it's not the best so you have to be careful, but above all this is a good choice if you are traveling on a budget.

Centrally located

Friendly staff, a bit noisy as the walls are thin. Bathroom was a little better than traditional 2 star hotels

Hotel Aristoteles

This is a great hotel for those traveling on a budget. The rooms are small, but clean. The hotel staff I found to be vey friendly and helpful. Also a plus, it is a close walk to many sites. The area probably isn't the best in the city, but I never felt unsafe. I would recommend this hotel.
