Could not stay more than a few minutes

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The design and layout of the hotel was the primary problem, but the room could have better isolated from the sounds in the common areas.
Location: Location is in Avon, not Vail.
This is not a good hotel for a family that wants to rest after a day in Vail. First of all, the hotel is in Avon, which is about 15 minutes drive from Vail, though it came up on searches for Vail in Travelocity. The day we arrived, the hotel was full and it was difficult to find parking. We had to park in the additional parking garage behind the hotel. Our room was far from the center of the hotel and there is no way to get there without bringing your luggage up various small flights of stairs. There is only one elevator in the center of the hotel, but most the rooms still require you to go up or down a few stairs before you get to the room. The room we were assigned was near the hot tubs and was very noisy, even inside with the door closed The room also had a noticeable smell. We were told that quiet hours start at 9 pm and the hotel would be quieter then. They offered to try to find another room for us, but we decided any room in this hotel would not be good for us. We checkout out after a few minutes and paid for a room in another hotel. We tried to work with with Travelocity and the hotel to receive at least a partial refund, but none was given.

Hello Michael. I am very sorry we were not able to accommodate your needs. You are correct that we are located in Avon with easy access to Beaver Creek Resort and about a 10 minute drive to Vail. We are one of the only hotels in the area that does not charge for parking and our back parking lot is very easy to access. We do our best to accommodate our guests needs and requests and I am happy to hear that we were able to offer you another room option that would have been away from the hot tub and in a quieter location. Since the reservation had been in place for a considerable time and it would have been difficult for us to resell the room at that time of night, a refund was not approved. We hope you understand and that you enjoyed your ski day at Vail.

Very clean, good for budget travelers

Definitely not luxurious accommodations but rooms are very clean and staff is friendly. Easy to get to Beaver Creek and Vail from here. Walk to shops and restaurants.

Cheap, convenient, friendly

Lodging prices are expensive in the Vail area. Although leary at first because of the price, my expectations were exceeded. No, it's not the Ritz, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only slight negative was the portable airconditioner and fans in our room. Not sure if all their rooms are like this in the summer, but as a Texan, and I like COLD air. On the flip side the heat was way above normal. Close to 98 degrees. Had a beautiful Southeast view of the mountains from our balcony. Couple of good restaurants to walk to as well. Really liked our stay!
