Nice to be in the mountains.

Just wanted to get away for a few days. Very relaxing. Lots of activities and good food.

Great resort with full amenities near Beaver Creek

While only staying one night (Saturday) we were cordially greeted by warm and caring staff providing a pending checkin before checkin time. Great features include full service spa, huge fitness center, hiking trail access, large lap pool, hot tubs and shopping. Missed the comp shuttle to Beaver Creek Resort due to inaccurate information at concierge and in printed material. Large restaurant offering upscale Mexican fare (for us as Texans a bit pase) but great beverage service by consummate mixologists. Whiskey options very limited if requesting a blend (2). Great Bulgarian driver. Closing lobby bar at 10 on a sold out Saturday night certainly didn't fit our schedule. Live entertainment in early evening well received. The Westin sleep system is superior in the industry. Front desk engagement outstanding Lady from Saginau and Kamal. Elevators a bit slow for an active hotel with multiple guest and lots of luggage. Front reception could be enhanced by automatic doors but typically managed by courteous front staff opening the doors. Upon a 6:15 AM departure, no staff at front desk or lobby visible to offer courteous farewell. Request s room facing the Riverfront. Great hotel for active families.

Shockingly Bad

If you want to stay at a place that steals your clothes, tells you that you  have no choice but to pat $25 a day for valet parking, and doesn't tell you they charge an additional $20 a day for a resort fee, and a place that doesn't even offer water to drink by the pool, then this place is for you. It's not for me. They just care about my money

Fair Shake.

I don't think this property has been given a fair shake in the reviews. This is a Westin Hotel and a Westin Timeshare property. Sometimes, folks looking for a hotel end up in the timeshare property and get confused. I want to clear things up for the SVO owners. This is a great property. A river runs just behind the property and you can hear it at night should you leave a window open. Yes, they charge for parking and it is a very tight parking area but Villa owners get access to the villas from the underground parking without going through the hotel. 2BD / 2 BA lockoffs are larger than what we saw in Maui or Cancun and better designed. The gym is amazing! It is run like a membership gym (which it is) but there is more equipment than you can imagine; free weights, orbitals, bikes and classes should you want to take one (small fee). Path along the river is reportedly 24 miles so run or rent a bike. Overall, very impressed. Home resort is Maui.

If your room is not defective, this is a pretty sweet hotel!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: defective room, management couldn't care less
This is a nice property run by management who care less about the adequacy of your room that they do about $$. The TV in my room was defective, as were the telephone, reading lamp over the bed, bathroom sink and table lamp. My stay was interrupted by service people during each of my three days. The sink, telephone and table lamp were fixed, but the two things needed most, reading lamp and TV, were not. The valets were excellent! because I needed my car at 4:30 in the morning to drive to the airport, the valet instructed me to make arrangements with the front desk. The front desk person wouldn't hear of it and refused to make the necessary arrangements. She told me to call when I needed it. This hotel can afford to treat you rudely, as the demand is apparently off the charts. One more thing! Check your bill very closely!

Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Pros: all good
Cons: none
This is a beautiful resort. The parking around the Westin is limited so we did use the valet parking. Pretty pricey for two days!! Everything else was great and location was within walking distance to most things. The shuttle up the mountain worked out well too.
