Staff disappeared

I checked in at 7 and needed a first aid kit. I called guest services. No answer. Called two more times. No answer. Went to go find staff instead but no one was present to help. Later I went to bed and I was scared out of my sleep by a fraternity doing a traditional stroll and singing in the street. I was on the 10th floor and I could hear them clear as day. I called guess services again and there was no answer until the second call when they assured me that the police were preaent and it would stop soon. Two hours later it had not stopped. I called again to no answer. the next morning was check out. I called to get my car abt 30 mins before I went out....I got down stairs and my vehicle was still not there. I asked the valet and they said they had no request for that vehicle. When I finally found the staff they confirmed the car had been requested. But the valet said they they were never informed. I ended up waiting an entire hour for my car which made me late to my event. Neither the valet nor the staff too responsibility for anything. They were unapologetic and neither took responsibility. It was like watching two small children fight. Never again.

disappointed in hotel

Location: Good location
This hotel is very minimalist. No coffee maker, no dresser or drawer, towels not replenished.

Pros: The close proximiity to the Inner Harbor is one thing we liked.
Our experience started with a parking ticket after leaving the car in the Valet Parking area while we checked in, went to the room to drop our bags, and went back to move to a garage where the fees were lower. The valet on duty assured me I could leave the car while I checked in. There were no hand towels in our room. There were no grab bars in the bathroom. (My reservation was for an accessible room.) The lounge chairs were too low to get up from comfortably. I was unable to turn on the floor lamp on one side of the bed; there was no visible knob or lever for that purpose. The minimal, geometric style of the lobby, dining room, sleeping room is not practical or comfortable from our point of view. One last point. There was only one server in the dining area which led to long waits for breakfast when the room was nearly full with guests.

One night stay in Hotel RL

Pros: Location was good.
Cons: I would have appreciated a warning that there would be no bathroom door, or the option to choose a room with a bathroom door.
Location: Baltimore Harbor, Baltimore Arena
We decided to book a room for one night so we could attend a concert in Baltimore. We live about an hour out of town and decided a night out would be far preferable to battling post-concert traffic in an area we aren't very familiar with. This hotel is only a few blocks from the Baltimore Arena, so it was perfect to check in, relax a while, and then walk to the concert. Valet parking seemed a bit pricey, but honestly it isn't that bad when compared with Baltimore Arena "event parking" prices. People who know the area better could probably find something cheaper, but for us it was worth the extra few dollars to not have to worry about it. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. I only had two... comments (I hesitate to call them complaints, because they weren't that serious). 1) We ended up in the disability accessible room (609). Normally I wouldn't have thought twice about this; however, our bathroom didn't have a door. No door! Not even a curtain. I assume that the room's layout would not have been considered accessible if there had been a door. I was there with my husband, so there isn't a whole lot of mystery left when it comes to what happens in the bathroom. But still... I prefer to have some privacy when I use the bathroom. 2) We were on the 6th floor but you can hear a fair amount of street noise. Normal nights are probably fine, but post event crowds were a little boisterous/noisy.

CONVENIENT TO JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL

Pros: PRICE AND CONVENIENCE TO HOSPITAL
Cons: ONE MORE CHAIR IN THE ROOM, DRESSER AND MIRROR WOULD BE NICE. WINDOW SHADE BUTTONS SHOULD BE CLOSE TO BED.
ROOM HAD ONE CHAIR, ALMOST A HALF A CHAIR, ONE SMALL ROUND TABLE, NO DRESSER OR MIRROR IN THE ROOM, NO FRIDGE, NO BATHROOM GLASSES. VERY NICE BED AND BATHROOM WAS BIG. HOTEL STAFF FRIENDLY. BREAKFAST DELICIOUS AND FAST.

hipster magic

Pros: soft, soft bed and pillows, security elevator so only guests get up to the floors, free bike rental for guests, a board game room for relaxation.
Cons: no complimentary breakfast - it was available, but at a cost.
Location: walking distance to inner harbor/shops; water taxi takes you to other places; there's currently a free bus (Circulator) that has several routes.
just renovated in '15; beautiful wooden floors, ceiling high windows for a great view, wonderful staff, really really really comfortable bed. done in a relaxed hipster style and staff are casually (but cleanly) dressed - if you need the pomp and circumstance of an old elegant turn of the century hotel, this might not be it. that being said, it was all professionally done and a wonderful experience.
