They didn't have the room with the king size bed I requested when I rented the room so, they asked if a room with 2 queens is fine. I took the room with 2 queens and they informed me that the whole hotel was non-smoking. The room, and really the whole hotel, smelled like an ash tray. I don't really like to complain and I wasn't going to be in the room much anyway so I shrugged it off but the whole stay was really uncomfortable.

Did not like that there were no perks for the room price; no coffee, no mini refrigerator or microwave. A friend stayed there also same weekend; had the same room, with all the items noted above and paid less by $30 . It was my first time at this Red Roof Plus and I was disappointed.

I had read reviews before going and it was pretty much as described so I liked that there were no surprises. We liked the price. We liked the German restaurant next door. The girls at front desk were the only interaction that we had with staff. They were nice and knew what they were doing, but were somewhat preoccupied with their gentleman friend while i was checking in. He kept their conversation going the whole time. At check out someone was arguing with the staff about something not looking good for the hotel. But check-out was smooth. The ice machine closest to us was broken but the one near the office works, so we were able to get what we needed. The ironing board was partially broken, but it still worked. Just a little short. They only gave us 1 full body towel for our second night of the stay, but we still had 2 clean hand towels and made do. It was overall clean and we got a good night's sleep. So we were satisfied for the price especially since we read reviews earlier and were not expecting perfection.
