Our stay at the Sand Bar Cottage was delightful. The space is adorable and the outdoor space with fire pits and individual heat lamps over tables on the covered porch made it cozy even with the cooler weather. Chris was very personable as were all the staff, making excellent recommendations and just overall good conversation. Breakfast was delicious and it was fun to meet and mingle with other guests. The location is great and I would not hesitate to stay here again if we find ourselves back in Bar Harbor.

Very cute property. Don’t skip breakfast it was soooo good. Staff was super kind and helpful. Only con is you can hear everything.. luckily we were so exhausted from hiking all day it didn’t bother us too much and we were easily able to fall back asleep. Would come back for sure.

Really enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent, we were able to take a short walk to dinner each night and it's about 1 block from the sandbar hike. The innkeepers at this property were the real stand out. They helped us pick hikes, gave restaurant recommendations and made us feel well cared for. I even saw them change the tire for two girls staying at the inn after their rental car company no showed. The main inn is beautiful and updated. We stayed in one of the smaller buildings outside the main inn, which seem less recently updated (more quaint than fancy) but offer a more private experience. They have a nice breakfast and set out delicious treats daily.

Cozy and convenient
We had a great stay at the Sand Bar Cottage Inn!! It was very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast and snacks everyday were delicious! We enjoyed sitting for a nice cup of tea every evening. The location was perfect for walking into town, and driving into Acadia. We will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect and walkable. The room was very comfortable and the entire place was clean and beautifully decorated. They have a nice fire pit space outside. The food was outstanding and there were always delicious sweets available. The property manager, Chris, was just lovely to chat with and incredibly accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Cozy, comfy Maine inn
This is a beautiful little inn right up the street from the heart of Bar Harbor and just a few minutes from the entrance to Acadia. My husband and I slept so well, the bed was wonderfully cozy and comfortable! And they offered a free, yummy morning breakfast. Thank you!
