Breakfast was delicious, the dinners needed more variety. Rooms were clean. The shower needed a mat, and the towels in the shower were ridiculously too high and difficult to get. Beds were comfortable. Going into the restroom, the door trim was not attached and slipped various times. The rooms need an informative booklet or letter, about the amenities. Sack breakfasts were delicious and excellently made. Thank you!

Me and my cousin went to Barcelona to celebrate our birthdays which was one day apart. I made all the arrangements and after reading the reviews for the Hotel Barcelona Universal, I decided to give it a try and I must say NO REGRETS whatsoever! The staff was amazing! Martins checked us in and gave us a courtesy upgrade with stunning views of the Main street and we loved it! She also helped us with finding a great restaurant for dinner. Carlos is superb and assisted us with everything from where to go for nightlife to restaurants. Alessandra assisted us with booking our tours and no question was too much for her! They even treated us to apps and drinks on the house for our birthdays! The hotel is perfectly located and within 10 minutes from all the action of Las Ramblas and La Boqueria Market. The metro station is steps from stepping outside the hotel. Talk about convenience! I plan on being back and when I do I will definitely stay there again! Thanks to the mentioned staff who made our birthday stay a memorable one!
