A Little Bit of Heaven

Pros: The hotel is centrally located, beautifully designed and decorated and the staff are fantastic!
Location: Many attractions are within 10-20 minute walk. Picasso Museum, El Born, La Boqueria, the Port.
After my flight was cancelled twice due to weather, it took me two days to get to Barcelona, with an overnight stay in London. While my flight experience was a nightmare, I was immediately comforted upon my arrival at the Ohla Hotel, with its modern design and knowledgeable staff. The staff were aware of my delayed arrival, as I arranged for my sister to check in the day before I arrived. Ohla's graciousness was evident immediately, as I was offered a cold drink or champagne at check in. While the room was a bit small, it was very clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was newly remodeled with a relaxing rain shower head. Room service was prompt and courteous. The rooms were stocked, including minibar, and cleaned daily, and turn down service included delicious new chocolates each night. However, most surprising was a free cell phone supplied by Ohla, for local and international calls, which guests could use during their stay. The roof deck pool was breathtakingly beautiful and the table service was excellent. We enjoyed two evenings on the roof deck, warmed by the fire and delicious food and drink. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. They booked several attractions for us in advance to avoid waiting in lines and offered suggestions for dining. After long days of sightseeing, we looked forward to returning each evening to our oasis the Ohla Hotel!

Great experience

Pros: The rooftop was my favorite spot.
Cons: If you are driving, parking may be a problem, but I'm not sure. There was little room for the limo that dropped us off or the taxi that picked us up.
Location: Very close to many restaurants and shopping. We were able to access the Ride On Hop Off bus within a couple of blocks.
This hotel is great in every way. The staff was very welcoming and helpful from the bellman to the desk staff to the housekeeping staff. The facilities were great. The rooms and other areas of the hotel were well kept and very clean. An added extra is the rooftop bar and pool. At night is is a source of relaxation and provides a beautiful view of the city. The morning breakfast was included in the rate we were quoted. It was well worth the price with a very extensive menu and many options for all appetites.
