Vorstädte is home to the world-renowned Kunstmuseum Basel as well as the Cartoonmuseum Basel, where you can see political cartoons and caricatures from different time periods. Vorstädte is home to two medieval city gates, the St. Johanns-Tor and the Spalentor, that are well worth a visit. It's easy to get around Vorstädte and the rest of the city using local bus and tram service.
