Remote control for the TV. Did not have one in room. Returned to desk. Advised they should have given us one at check in. Went to our room. Remote Did not work. Had to go downstairs because the phones did not work. Desk clerk said she would come up in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later she had not come. She was very busy and seemed to be to the only one there. Got another remote, came back upstairs but it too did not work. went back downstairs and desk Clerk said she would come up. came upstairs 20 minutes later and got the TV working with remote. Volume low. Tried to turn up volume from remote. Did not work. Went downstairs, lady at desk explain how to make volume higher. Volume would not work from remote only from TV. BAD WEATHER THAT NIGHT 4/8/21. Electricity went off, when it came back on, T.V. would not come on. Went through set up again at 2:00 a. m. Had 9 year old with us and TV would help her go back to sleep. Weather very bad. Lots of hard rain and lightening. TV was a distraction About 4 a. m. lost power again. When it came back on, same routine to get TV on. Although the electricity was not off for a long period of time, maybe 10 or 20 minutes. Not being able to control TV was an inconvenience. We’ve gotten so spoiled with modern technology, it was an aggravation to have to keep getting up to turn the TV down manually or to get it started again and reboot it. Also when we would get the emergency alerts on TV, so loud and couldn’t turn down.

I would like to apologize about the mishaps with your stay. That night was real busy for the front desk staff. Weather did come in badly for us. We did let maintenance aware of the tv/remote issues. Thank you for your feedback. This helps us learn what areas we need to grow in and what issues we need to address.

We stayed here last year and the jucuzi was not working. I took the chance to stay here again, a year later, thinking the stay would be fine. Not so. I asked the desk attendant if the jucuzi was working she said oh yes it is. This is a key amenity we look forward too and it was not working and the main pool was dirty too. We will look at different hotel accommodations for future stays.

Almost nirvana!

Pros: Great lobby, fitness room, and breakfast. The room was clean, spacious, and quite.
Cons: The floor hallway carpet needed a good cleaning, and the bathroom shower door binds.
Location: Good central location. Great access to I-10 and restaurants.
Overall experience was very good. Even with the few negative aspects, this is a hidden gem. I would recommend management needs to work on the small but critical details to a quality hotel. I WOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

Great Expectations

When searching for a hotel, I was looking for one that received great reviews. Having 5 smiles and several reviews, this hotel seemed sure not to disappoint. There was nothing remarkably wrong with it, but I found it to be not as wonderful as the reviews indicated. There was seriously the largest roach I'd ever seen, BUT the facts that it was dead AND outside by the entrance to the pool make it hardly worth mentioning. The floors both in the hall by our room and in our room were not completely clean, but neither were they extremely dirty. I did see A (one) hair both in the shower and on my pillow, but that was all. There was a bug in my bed, but it was only ONE tiny, tiny ant. The hair dryer didn't work, but that was no biggie since I brought mine. The biggest disappointment to me was the pool area, which was the main thing we wanted to do during our very short stay. There was a nice, big kiddy pool with fountains for them to splash in, also a small regular pool, and a hot tub. However, the jets for the hot tub weren't working, and all three pools were in desperated need of skimming. Everywhere we went, there was no escaping the grass that would cling to us as we tried to enjoy the water. Breakfast was ok. The front desk was ok. The lobby looked nice enough. There really wasn't anything just awful about the place. It was just that between the price I paid and the reviews I read, I expected something... cleaner.
