The property is VERY old and dated, things were really rundown, though I will say it was clean enough. The breakfast eggs cooked to order were great, the rest was blah, no bacon on any of our three mornings there. The worst thing was that the beds only have a sheet, no blankets, so the person on the bed closest to the AC froze, the person on the other bed further away cooked.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past six years. It was deteriorating badly before it became a Ramada. The room this time was comfortable, but the bathroom was unacceptable. They did not replace the bath tubs when they remodeled and the floor was dirty. I will not stay there again.

Nice view of the Ocean

Pros: Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Jamal came to rescue with batteries for door and safe.
Cons: Hotel needs a face lift starting with plumbing repairs. Ceiling fans old and loud. Big rain storm caused a leak at window/AC unit. Needed big towel
Location: Midtown Restaurant and Bar was a short walk from the hotel. Nice setting, nice staff and portions much larger then one would expect. Good food.
Check in time was 3:00pm and I got there early. Had to wait, no problem. Hotel room was clean. Halfway through stay had to get staff to replace batteries in door and safe. Loud faucet on wash basin. All towels were not replaced when room cleaned so had to ask desk for more. Older hotel not up to US standards but above standards for third world country. Staff was always friendly, polite, and accommodating.

Poor front desk staff

Front desk poor knowledge. No phone service in room. Breakfast menu no change from my last visit. Good cold except for omelet lady great. No towels in room. Front desk worst poor customer service. The best bar bartenders were great. Fabulous. They need to hire front desk people who knows great customer service. Food cold Buffet even lunch. Movie theater not working during week. Broke. Ramada us not 4 or 5 stars place.there from June 2 to June 7. Poor service. I am writing Ramada myself along with belize hotel so they know who I am. I stand behind what I say.

A princess who lost her crown

Pros: Views, massage, clean,
Cons: restaurant is terrible, though staff is sweet.
Location: not much to do here. but great views. A garifuna museum nearby and Belize Museum nearby.
Every room has a fantastic view of the Gulf Sea, fresh breezes, and 2 complimentary bottles of water. That said, this once lovely resort has seen better days. Battered by hurricanes and economic fluctuations, The Ramada Princess could use a weekend at a spa herself. The staff seem overworked and tired but respond to jokes so they still have a sense of humor! Funny how people respond to humor! And gratitude. The hotel is super safe, has guards & elevators require roomcard to operate. The food is pretty godawful, however breakfast is best when ordering an omelette to be made. The coffee/mud/tepid brown water is to be avoided. However! There is an actual and new coffee shop in the lobby! With a fairly decent cappuccino (or flat white for Kiwis). For lunch or dinner I recommend going out back to the sweet and often overlooked Calypso restaurant. It has good Belizean fare at decent prices. I recommend the shrimp creole and a Beliken beer. The bedrooms are clean, albeit a bit shabby and dated. Seriously, unless you require goosedown and a tempurpedic latex mattress, this is fine for an overnight stay. You want a luxury resort? Go somewhere else and pay twice as much. Great massage therapist! Kelly is lovely! Book early! She's in big demand with locals! The wifi works! Usually. And this hotel is the only place in the entire country of Belize with a movie theater. Recently upgraded to be a 3D cinema! For those of us who LOVE our movies this is a special treat!

Room was bad smelling...Moldy.

Room was bad smelling...Moldy. when rains water comes to the room. I request to change room and they did not even acknowledge the request. The elevator smells like sewer and mold. Toilet was not working properly...Phone in the room did not work at all..Wifi in the room not work at all...Some of the furniture is bad and damage for water. The children pool was not clean and took us at least 2 hrs to receive a towel in the pool area. the hall from the front desk to the pool was dark and sleepery.

I've stayed here before because it's convenient for doing excursions.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, big pool
I've stayed here before because it's convenient for doing excursions for cave tubing and to see some of the Mayan ruins. It is not a high star quality by any means, but it is decent enough for staying a night or two. The movie theatre and bowling alley/arcade are only open on weekends. The pool is big, and most of the staff are helpful. Unlike before, you can't organize a lot of tours through the hotel. They have a limited number of tours offered. They have free wireless internet that worked fine for me on the 4th floor, but not on the 5th. My mom could never get wireless while we were there. I think the price range for this hotel is a bit much by American standards, but since there are so few options in Belize, they can get away with it. If you have the money, I'd recommend the Radisson Fort George. Villa Boscardi is also nice, but not not in a convenient location. I hope this helps.

Avoid at all cost

Place is a dump. Stay away at all cost. Only one restaurant is open. They are out of fish. Only thing they have is deep fried chicken wings, burger, and 'steak fajitas', which consist of fried burger meat. Place is loud at night. I requested a taxi at the front desk at 5:30am the next morning, was told no problem. In the morning there was no taxi in sight, had to wait half an hour. Terrible experience.

Princess Hotel

Perfect location but hotel facilities in need of a good clean and repairs. Staff very friendly and helpful but grounds covered in litter and never cleaned during my 4 day stay. Swimming pool with broken surface tiles, no patio chairs, broken glass in areas, broken outdoor chairs, outside patio bar closed and in in bad state of repair. No organisation to assist travellers.

DONT LET THE INTERNET PHOTOS FOOL YOU

The hotel has not been updated. Room service plates stayed in hallway for 5 days. All you can eat breakfast buffet consisted mainly of hot dogs and onions. Hotel does not have any access to anything (need to rent a car). A tour desk does not exist as stated. Hotel personnel is not knowledgeable about places to see. Shower water was intermittent between hot and cold. It took 2.5 hours to obtain a bottle opener from room service. The pillows were pitiful. The bed(s) folded in the center. Two people in the room and could only get one wash cloth? It was a complete mess. The one positive thing to mention. The taxi cab drivers were the friendliest people at the hotel and Belize.
