We really enjoyed our stay in this sparkling clean, well-decorated home. Plenty of room to spread out, between the three bedrooms, the extra sitting room off the great room and several outdoor deck spaces. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishware, food storage, coffee and coffee maker, everything we needed. We were pretty grateful for the coffee, because we forgot ours—yet we were able to make a pot that first morning.
The only thing that caused some anxiety was communication with the host. This is a gated community, and there are more steps to access this property. I sent three or four messages with Qs for the host over several weeks’ time, all with no response. Just radio silence. When we still hadn’t received access instructions the day before we were due to arrive, I contacted VRBO. They promised they could provide a similar accommodation nearby, but apparently they were able to reach the host, who finally wrote after 9pm that last night to say oh, you’re checking in tomorrow? It was pretty frustrating on our end—not a great way to start a vacation. Then as we were tapping the code to open the door that first day, it wouldn’t open… And you’re going oh no, I won’t be able to reach the host! Tip for the uninitiated: pull the door toward you as you type in the code, and the lock should operate.
