Never checked in, because they had a MATTRESS OUTSIDE A UNIT! Owners said, “it was wet from a child spilling water.” Yea, right! Broad day light! They refused to assist me with canceling and Expedia was no help either.

We cancelled your booking with NO penalties as requested. While you did not stay and wished to cancel without ever checking in to see the room itself, we don't see why you still are trying to slander our business.

This motel (drive to the door/easy unpack and reload) is exactly as advertised. Low cost, blocks from downtown, clean and comfy. Staff at checkin was friendly. Tougher part of downtown margin but comfortable…. Believed I was totally safe at all times. Stayed here on way to New Orleans and comfortably booked for a night on return trip.

Rooms outdated and light in bathroom not working. a lamp was placed there. Smelled like smoke in non-smoking room. Bed was comfortable. stains in bathtub and on ceiling. minimal bedding thin sheets.

The hotel was in close proximity to downtown and all of the tourist attractions. I felt safe and it was peaceful while I was there.

Exactly what was hoped for: clean, basic, safe access to downtown Birmingham. No frills - a good,clean room. Staff was very nice. About 5 blocks from Civil Rights Center of the south.

Didn't even stay one night. The lock on the door was terrible, the room did not have an alarm clock, not exactly in the best part of town, and there were drunk or completely coked out residence hanging out all around the property. If you value your safety, or your life, I would recommend Not staying here.

In need of updates. Carpet looked like a crime scene. Bathroom very clean but couldn’t get pass the carpet and the dirty walls. Ac unit very loud and a lamp came worked off and on with touching it. No outlet covers and lots of power strips due to lack of electrical outlet. Travelocity should not rep this facility.
