I checked in and the room they gave me wasn’t cleaned at all. The previous guests things were everywhere. The front desk was talking and said housekeeping had “left for the day,” and didn’t even apologize when giving me a new room. There was a woman and a man and they seemed very inconvenienced that THEY didn’t give me a cleaned room.

Sophie, We regret you had less than an seamless check-in. The staff at Main Street Inn works hard to ensure our guests their accommodations are comfortable and check-in is convenient and easy. I know you made and canceled your reservation several times before arriving. Perhaps this may have caused some for the front desk. However, you should never have been given a dirty room and you have our apologies.

Yes .... our location is the best! Located in the heart of Downtown Blacksburg, Dining, shopping and Virginia Tech all but a stroll away.

We like the location, the quiet elegance, the homey feeling, the comfortable way the rooms are arranged with a living room and a bedroom, the welcoming nature of the lobby, the check in person...all of being here.
