'Ledgewood' sits on 12 private oceanfront acres on Long Cove Point.
The cottage has an open floor plan which provides a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views, listen to the crashing surf, or watch the lobster boats and seagulls drift by. Enjoy the upper deck, or lower screened-in porch, both with ocean views.
Relax on the granite cliffs with your favorite book, paint brush and canvas, and your camera so you can capture the beauty of the coastline of Maine.
The cottage is a great place for a family and sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms.
An open living room area expands into the spacious kitchen with a large island to gather or a dining area for sit-down meals.
On the lower level there is a family room with a TV, a large bedroom (Queen bed) and full bath which is private from the main living area.

Enjoy several beaches, restaurants, lobster pounds, funky road side sea shacks and many shops, all close by. Enjoy boating excursions which will allow you to experience the Maine coast up close.
Nearby villages of Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Wiscasset, to name just a few, offer wonderful site seeing, restaurants and activities for every age. Camden is a little bit of a drive up Rt.1 with beautiful scenery.

Perfect location!
The location and privacy are amazing at Ledgewood. The house is comfortable with an open floor plan. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. The first floor has 2 bedrooms and downstairs is an entire 'suite' with a large living space, bedroom and bathroom so the house is well set up for privacy and families. There is also space upstairs with again a large sitting room space and two beds, but no bathroom. The view is fabulous. The house is very private down a dirt road yet close enough to activities. The steps leading to the water are steep and uneven and not suited for easy access to the rocks. There is a viewing platform off on a side path that allows you to sit close to the rocks and enjoy the water but does not allow easy access to the water. However, the lobster boats come very close to the edge of the water so you can enjoy breakfast while watching them retrieve their traps.

Maine Perfection
Gorgeous spot on the Maine coast and perfectly situated to provide the feel of privacy, yet easy access to Pemaquid, Damariscotta, etc. Boasting the ocean views we had hoped for, the house itself was warm, welcoming, comfortable and well-equipped; and Barb could not have been more accommodating. We especially enjoyed the platform by the ocean and loved walking quiet roads and trails nearby. Close to favorite restaurants, but evenings at the house with a pot of chowder, bottle of wine and games around the kitchen table were the best. So thankful for our two-week stay at Ledgewood with family and friends. Thanks, Barb!

Wonderful Maine Week!
Our second summer at Ledgewood was fantastic! The views can’t be beat. The ocean breeze blew through the house all week and we woke up and went to sleep to the sound of the waves. We love spending time on the rocks. Can’t wait to return.

Memories, new and old
We stayed with our family of 5, with young kids and my in-laws. Ages 5-84 - and everyone was pleased with the cabin. We visited this area as it was important in the childhood of my husband. His parents first rented a cabin in the area in 1970 and they've been vacationing in Maine ever since. His parents were with us and we got to walk around the area and hear all the memories from over the years. The home setup was wonderful for us, allowing for time spent together, but everyone was able to relax, recharge, and play without disturbing anyone else. Sitting out on the patio, down by the water, or just listening to the waves while doing dishes made this location one of our new favorites.

Beautiful property, musty house
The grounds of this property are spectacular! Sitting on the rocks and on the deck over the rocks was relaxing and wonderful! The house has many wonderful spaces, but a musty smell throughout. My husband was not affected, but since I am prone to asthma, I was. I ended up sleeping on the couch with the windows open and using an inhaler all week. The home we stayed at the week before was also right on the water, but did not have this problem. Unfortunately, this compromised my visit to Maine from AZ in what was otherwise a truly lovely property with a very kind host.

Amazing Vacation

Bay views retreat
My wife and I enjoyed a delightful stay at Barb's property. The views are spectacular over bay. The house was an easy drive to several county preserves all of which had lovely walks through the woods and along the shoreline. The house and kitchen were both well equipped and Barb was very responsive. The only negative was a previous guests' failure to clean the grill, only five minutes work to put it right.

Breath taking views
Ledgewood has views of the Maine coast that would be hard to beat anywhere. We enjoyed sitting on the platform by the sea and watching the birds, waves and boats. The views of stars at night dazzled us with shooting stars and the milky way. The sunrise on the ocean is magical. Home accommodated a group of 6 adults easily. Would like to return.
