The location is excellent, there’s a lot to do on the resort and you’re nice and close to Bucerías. Puerto Vallarta is also only a 20 min drive away if you want to head into the city! Will definitely be going back again!!"

"The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and the property includes free beach chairs and umbrellas. They also provide free top of the line bikes. It wasn’t very busy when we were there so everything was readily available. Jorge, the owner is attentive and super helpful. We had an amazing stay. "

"This place is a gem. If you want every bell and whistle, perhaps it’s not for you. If you want quiet, old world charm you’ve found the spot. It’s location is perfect for a stroll to the beach and some of the best restaurants in Bucerias. "

"My travel companion and I had a very nice two bedroom suite right on the ocean, each room had a view, reasonably priced. The pool area is quite nice with lots of sun. Liked that there was a bar and restaurant on the property with great food, nice prices. The beach is rocky but has a nice sand area by the palapas. I would go there again."
