Misleading VRBO property
The experience was horrible. From the beginning we were not left with a code to enter into a lockbox so we had to contact VRBO to contact the host. The neighborhood was very unsafe. There was furniture and tires in the yard. The entranceway was very dirty. It smelled like marijuana in the hallway. The toilet did not flush. The light in the bathroom room was in operable. The couch was extremely stained. This VRBO should not be able to be rented out. I have filled out a complaint form and I’m expecting my entire money spent to be refunded. This is the most disappointing property I have ever seen advertised on VRBO.

Listing is not exactly forthcoming
While I am glad to have an affordable place to lay my head for a couple of nights, I do have to say this listing is not very forthcoming. First, the fact that there was no exterior picture should have been a warning. It is located in a quad-unit apartment complex. It’s probably on the lower income side. The apartment complex was older, and there was trash left outside the building. The walls are very thin, I could hear next door neighbors above and beside me walking, doors opening/closing. The fact that there was not even a deadbolt to securely lock the apartment was unnerving to me. The first night, I really thought someone was coming into the apartment. The interior of the apartment was nicely appointed. Clean. However, quite barebones. There’s a coffee maker, not coffee supplies. There were paper towels but it was almost out so you have to ration it. The couch is broken - when I sat down the cushion sank below the edge of the couch. Same for the bed frame - broken. When I lay down, the mattress just bowed under the weight. Like I said, glad to have this affordable place to lay my head, but I think the owner owes it to her potential clients to be more honest with the listing. Will not book this place again if the listing is not corrected.

Don’t stay here
This is a terrible place to stay and I wouldn’t recommend it at all! First of all it’s in a bad spot, we literally watched drug deals go on outside. The side of the house by the driveway was covered in garbage, and front yard had garbage in it. If that wasn’t bad enough… when we got inside there was a damp dirty bath towel hanging on the kitchen chair. The bed wasn’t made and looked like someone was sleeping in it before we got there and the sheets were dirty. They even had a brown tint to them. You could also hear the people upstairs. We literally didn’t feel safe there at all. Then when trying to contact the owner, she never responded. She completely ignored the fact that we had a few concerns regarding the property and it’s condition. Trust me when I say, there’s a reason there’s no outside pictures of this place.
