My shortest ever stay
Well, I left and didn’t stay. Even when I’d paid in advance. The room was £152 and when I arrived my heart sank. It just seemed old and tired and in a style similar to 1980s tv show fawlty towers. Anyway, I persevered and was shown to my room. When I opened the bedroom door a wave of musty damp smell hit me and I knew it wasn’t for me. I complained and was shown to an alternative room. I have to say it was pleasant service and the assistant did try to help. But the family room option was equally depressing albeit without the smell. In summary I’d say go elsewhere if you can afford to. If the budget is tight you’ll be ok here but measure your expectations.

I needed to find a hotel at short notice and booked for three nights. I can honestly say I have never been in such a clean hotel - and I travel a lot - and the warmth of the welcome and care of the staff was amazing. So thoughtful, so caring. I had a very reasonably priced breakfast is recommended and I went to have some spa treatments which were out of this world. Have already booked another stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Cambridge for the first time as it’s easy to walk to the city centre.
