The staff treated you like family.

Pros: We loved the beautiful hotel, the staff, the food and ambiance.. The Hotel was so clean and very quiet. Quick service... We will stay here again.
Cons: I cannot see anything to be approved everything was excellent..
Location: The location in Wild wood Crest at Diamond Beach was close to everything.
We were amazed about how friendly and accommodating the staff was. The Hotel was beautiful and the ocean view was so relaxing. Very clean hotel i highly recommend this hotel.

decent value

Pros: location, price, decent value
Cons: replace pull out couch and climate control box.
Location: Nice beach, cape may area very nice, there is a winery and zoo in the vicinity
Room and experience was good. The only drawbacks were that the pull out couch has seen better days and should be replaced. Second the climate control was difficult to use because one button was missing and getting our room to a desired setting was impossible.

A Mid-century Masterpiece

Pros: The decor, service, and location.
Cons: Based on price, nothing.
Location: Diamond beach is also close to Cape May, so their are many museums, restaurants, and other attractions within a long walk or short drive.
Everything about our stay was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean, the decor delightfully retro, and the food fantastic. True, we stayed during their “cozy” season, so the restaurant had limited hours, but the entire experience at Hotel Icona was wonderful and moderately priced to boot!

Great hotel, private beach, excellent location!

Pros: Balcony with 2 sliding doors, great cross breeze. Mini kitchen. Right on the beach with private entrance and clean hotel pool.
Location: Great location, near end of the island just near the wildlife refuge. Private beach. Short drive to Cape May for dinner or to the Wildwood boardwalk
Enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the hotel pool and the great view from our balcony.

Wonderful and comfortable stay.

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The only thing that didn't make sense is the resort fee that I had to pay although I checked in at 10 pm and left early morning. ( business trip). I didn't use any of the resort amenities. Other than this it was a very pleasant stay.

Awesome hotel!

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, and comfortable rooms
Cons: better quality beds
Location: right on a private beach
So I will say the beauty is in the detail of this hotel. It is very clear that the owners put a lot of thought into the property and expect you to enjoy your stay while you're there. My husband and I decided to get away for a few days prior to the busy season. We would normally stay in Cape May, but decided to switch things up. We found this little gem and decided to stay there. I was so plesantly surprised the staff was knowledgable and accomidating, the food in the resturant was great, and the gym had a decent variety of equpiment. As we were leaving we ran into the owner of the property, Josh, who couldn't have been a nicer guy! The entire trip was not perfect, but the hotel stay was awesome! Thanks Icona Team i'll never stay in any other property when I come to visit!
