Stayed here 2/19/24 through 2/21. Location and property are absolutely beautiful, but unwalkable from downtown Franschhoek, so you'll need a rental car or us their recommended taxi service via Whatsapp if you plan to drink lots of wine. Uber was not reliable in this area. The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good, but limited. I would highly recommend this location.

A perfect location!
Our stay stay at Holden Manz Country House was absolutely superb. It was just a pity we couldn't have stayed longer. The location is tranquil and beautiful, the staff super friendly and helpful and the accommodation clean, spacious and well equipped. The wine tasting is not to be missed either! This really is a gem of a find and we'd love to visit again for longer. It's a short drive into Franschoek which is lovely with many galleries and artisanal shops, good coffee shops and restaurants.

The facilities were top notch, great power shower. Rooms (suites) very spacious. Property had great character, extraordinary art displayed all over the hotel. Friendly, helpful service. Loved the fire in the bedrooms and lounge. The wine is great, love the Oak Chardonnay. Only negative is no restaurant, should you want an evening meal. Plenty of eateries in town though.

The team that work at Holden Manz were superb. They were helpful, informative and they made our stay. For this reason we would recommend others to stay. Thoughtful touches include welcome drink, bottle of wine in room and local tips and recommendations. They had lovely artwork around the property showcasing South African artists.
