The room was as expected, except for comment below. The home2?suites we have stayed in are consistently the same. Always clean and plenty of space. The slot doors were not installed correctly. One slid open unless locked, the other slid closed and cold not be locked.

Location was very close to SIU and very easy to find

The hotel is new so everything is nice the hallways are very well lit. The breakfast was good nice variety the oatmeal wasn’t very warm but a overall good breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. Now the problems the swimming pool was chilly I like a swimming pool robe refreshing but this pool was chilly also the windows in the pool area should be tinted I felt uncomfortable because right outside the window were people’s houses and back porch. The biggest problem was my room was on the top floor on the end very close to the train station and 3 times during the night I was woke up by long very loud train whistles. I was having trouble falling back asleep so I turned on the tv and after a couple of minutes the screen went dark and a message said low or scrambled signal and this lasted for a couple minutes then the TV went back on and then after a little while the same thing happened.
