Disappointingly shabby
The owner sounded lovely on the phone, and was very helpful and quick to respond when we had to contact her. The problem was that the description of cleanliness was way out. The fiirst thing we had to do was wash the kitchen floor and wipe down the units as they were actually sticky and unpleasant. The sitting area rug was filthy.
All of the net curtains were very badly frayed and grubby and the toilet had a lot of peeling paint and no door or curtains other than a net curtain that can be seen through when the light is on. None of the many sets of fairy lights worked, a small thing, but if they are all over the place, some at least should work.
On the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable.The parking was on the street, but we didn't have a problem at any time.
It could be such a great place if only we hadn't felt mislead by the large nummber of 10 out of 10 cleanliness reports, we are not generally fussy but did feel sad being here.
