What an amazing view we had of Mt. Etna. Our room was wonderful. It was a hike getting up the mountain, but well worth it. Breakfast was wonderful.

Castelmola is on a steep hilltop so driving there is tricky due to very curvy roads. It is quite far from Taormina. The hotel provides limited shuttle service down to Taormina. Otherwise you can take a public bus that runs hourly. The little town of Castelmola is quite cute. The hotel is on the old side but they provide breakfast and the views of the mountains and Etna are excellent. Not the place to be if you are expecting the beach or Taormina.
