Nothing about the pictures matched the facility. The patio floor was tore-up. Caution tape surrounded the basketball court, backboard on the basketball hoop was broken. The carpet was stained. The room smelled. The toilet overflowed by itself in the middle of the night (and we never used it). The caulk job around the base of the toilet looked like a toddler did the job. I was told by management that they've had issues in that particular room (#120) more than once. In addition to the crappy "suite", there were water bugs in the shower. None of us showered as a result. There was a dead tree in the front yard of the hotel (that had been there no less than a week, based upon the note taped to the front desk explaining a week prior that a tree company would be out to clean it up). Not sure who they contracted to remove the tree, but it was brown and had been dead for quite some time. The exterior garbage cans were full and overflowing. There were 3 barking dogs in the room next to us that never stopped barking. I reserved a room large enough to accommodate 5 of us: my husband, myself and 3 children --- the two youngest didn't go with us, & given the size and state of the King suite, I'm not sure where the little kids would have slept. The pull-out bed was old and stained. The room was dated and the smell gave me a migraine. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher and management wouldn't move us. I left my information for the GM to contact me, but he never did.

Hello, I am very sorry that we fell short of the Marriott expectations. The basketball hoop is on order another guest was king enough to break that and we had to order a new one. The tree has since been removed that came down in the storm Cedar Rapids had in August of 2020, finding a contractor to take the trees down was very difficult due to the storm displacing 8,000 residents in the city of Cedar Rapids. I will address the room issues with the correct departments. The hotel was to be renovated in 2020 however COVID made that impossible to happen. We are slotted to have a renovation in 2022. Again I am sorry these issues happened, I was unaware of that you left a note for me in the office.

Great place for families or groups.

The front desk checking in and out where both wonderful nice women, very helpful.The room was quite spacious and perfect, honestly me and my daughters wanted to stay longer than one day.Clean room. Added plus you can use you Netflix and Hulu on the TV! After lots of travel this past week my daughters were very excited about this.

Spacious room, super comfortable bed, and a full kitchen for the price of a regular room anywhere else. This place is hard to beat.

Excellent getaway!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, warm swimming pool
Our family loves to visit this hotel. The facilities are very good, although the basketball/tennis court flooring deadens the bounce of any ball. The breakfast is delicious, the staff are always friendly, and best of all the swimming pool is always a wonderful temperature! We've stayed at other hotels where the pool was so cold we didn't want to do more than dip a toe in there. At this hotel, the whole family gets in and enjoys it! The hot tub isn't fancy, but it's big. We've been making an annual weekend to this hotel for several years now, and plan to continue doing so for years to come.
